I wanted a good quality starter bass. This is it! It is light, I feel the neck is fast, and the upper frets are easy to get to w/ it's nice cut-away. It has the P and J pickups. And it sounds great!
Mine has some fret buzz and I think I need to change to a thicker string since I tune down to D and the E string likes to flop around.
Good construction! I don't think there is anything wrong with mine.
For a starter bass - I think this one rocks! It is light, easy to play and sounds good. I think with a little tuning - I can get rid of most of the fret buzz and sloppy E string (dropped to D).
