I bought the black box yesterday.
m'interresse which is that this product includes several other I needed:
- A sound card for low latency (the black box is also a sound card)
- An amp simulator, playing live on my PC
- An interface compatible noon to make the best use of my software edition of his
use:
I will use for the demo enrigistrer and work pieces home. Just to remember and find plans, I have no quality required of professional recording. I also think to use it as extra effects pedals (delay, flanger ...) on my marshall.
config: motherboard Asus low-end AMD Athlon 1.5, 512 ram, small office Altec Lansing speakers.
I use the black box with my les paul junior electric guitar (1 p-90), a microphone singing ... The box plugs into USB on the computer and mini jack (with adapter) on my speakers.
UTILIZATION
Installation is very easy but you have to think:
- Do not connect the box on the computer before you install the drivers
- Plugged into the speakers (I thought the sound could go through the USB)
runs after all ...
incompatibility: not yet
configuration is a little difficult at first ... we must get used to it but ultimately it's pretty well done
manual (paper) is tiny and barely complete PDF ... but just understand most of the functions.
SOUND QUALITY
There is a software that comes with (Ableton Live Lite 4 GTR) is the pleasant surprise of the purchase, it is nice trs.
You can also export / import presets and drum patterns (I think) I have yet to test but promises ca.
Latency: 5 ms! it's pretty good, he did it to the fact that the box is its own sound card.
OVERALL OPINION
What I like most:
the amp sounds good modliss, the solution for the complte music edition (amp + sound card + software)
minimum:
rhythms are ways, apparently you can not schedule sequences of patterns.
sometimes sound far too abruptly the guitar, especially when one does not delay.
some poorly amp models.
quality price: a bit too expensive (250 euros seem more reasonable)
but overall I'm happy trs.
