Rocktron Replifex

Multi effects rack unit. Like all his colleagues Rocktron the replifex rack is a shallow and lightweight, easy to carry in rehearsal. Always knobs input, output, the preset knob and the other 3 preset editing. Regulars BEYOND brand will immediately use it.

UTILIZATION

Having owned a Voodu valve, I was looking for the same section effects, but easier to use, here it is. We can chain the number of effects you want, then for each effect is its small adjustments, it is the mix between left / must, direct / effect, we fix the overall volume of the preset and it's in the box.
Among the effects, we find absolutely everything: chorus, reverb, parametric EQ, delay, flanger, phaser, tremolo, rotary speaker.
It is complete and super easy to use, if you come from Rocktron gear, no need to read the instructions!
Note down the "compare" to be aware of the influence of a parameter before and after modification, it helps!

SOUND QUALITY

True to their reputation, the effects Rocktron do not color the sound, unlike what appears to be the case with the TC G-Major. The original sound is never distorted, and it is always found by clicking the button "bypass". For the rest, nothing to say, the effects are very convincing, it's clean and pretty. Caution, however, the configuration "rotary speaker" colors the sound, and that's the only one. You end up with a sound whose frequencies are puffy, it's ugly to hear, if not for the rest nickel c!!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a month and I like it a lot, its strengths:
Use simple, all effects are there (while Intellifex does not have the flanger and phaser and EQ), multi fx, which does not color the sound effects very fine and beautiful, lightweight and convenient device.
Weaknesses: the rotary speaker unusable, difficult to find second-hand rack.

Finally, for 350 € it's a great investment, believe me. Go 9.5 as always for perfection does not exist

I use it recently. I changed it in a thrift shop against ME-30 + zoom 505: there is no photo on the quality I got a good deal!

UTILIZATION

The REPLIFEX, unlike many of its competitors (sometimes more expensive), can easily be used in live, in rehearsal, at home. The effects are clear and distortion just loses its momentum.
The fact that there is no possibility of "router" effects (of the same in the order you want) is not worse. This allows you to find sounds without complicating the task (compared to the G-force). The effects are made in any case, in a logical order: delay, reverb, chorus, pitch, flanger ...

SOUND QUALITY

Transparent and very good sound quality (delay, reverb, chorus).
Higher, in my opinion, to which multi-effects was as windy as the merits and I sold quickly (G-Force).

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it to replace pedals time to buy more. He played very well his role: sound quality, ease of use, ease of use with a MIDI controller, tap tempo.
I bought it on AudioFanzine, perfectly new, comes with MIDI, AC, 230 euros in late 2007, it was more than 7000 francs 7 years ago!. Careful because sometimes tends argus has skyrocketed as to why ...
