Numrique effects processor for guitar format 1 / 2 rack out to beginners 90s.
reverbs, delays, distortions, modulation effects (chorus, flanger, etc..) compressor / limiter, etc. .... the short range complte. No publisher had twelve o'clock that day. Instrument between facade and the rear stereo output. Midi in, out Jacks Jacks Tuner, 2 input jacks for foot switches momentary switch (thanks to which we can activate the bypass for any patch or one or more effects per patch, to pass by effects following a sequence program-pr, edit in real time some Paramtres some effects)

Critical:

In my view, the MIDI connection is limited (Yamaha could have split a MIDI Out / Thru). They could have doubled the instrument between the rear of the module for use as an insert effect (I ended up doing it myself even on my own ...). This explains my rating for this item.

UTILIZATION

It is relatively simple parameter ... once the logic of the device included (M.de stating the obvious would not have said it better ...). The effects are grouped into five poles:

Compressor: Compressor, Limiter: Not terrible and difficult Grable in a loop (So only useful when used in series with the amp)

Distos: dyed very 90s (bass on AO 4558 for DIYeurs ...), a little "synthtiques. I do not like.

Equalizers: Same Compressor

Modulations: The chorus is superb, deep and well conus (in terms of rglages). The rotary effect simulates a Leslie fairly well. Symphonic is intressant for synths.

Good reverbs and delays good. Also, a tap delay very helpful.

Paramtres Some of these effects can be controlled by the pedal as wrote about in the presentations of the module. One can, for example, rgler the tempo of tap delay or speed of rotation of the Leslie simulation.

Regarding the manual, Yamaha ... So it's always well done and very clear ... But it is true that the camera is not very complicated to take in hand.

SOUND QUALITY

The chorus is very beautiful and makes any delays and reverbs exploitable. For others, I am a little more reserved. That said, I do not use hardly any. I use an insert in my FX550 prampli JMP1 Marshall (I'ma guitarist) for chorus and reverb / delay (you guessed it right? ) On a config-to-walk effects "(Orange Squeezer, Treble Booster, Crybaby) JMP1 Marshall Ampulator ADA + + The Box PA302A.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a few years (I have been given ...) and I left because I ct no longer used as simus Amps & Effects PC. Since I return to the hardware, I emerged from the mothballs and I confess that I do not understand why I have not used these last years longer. However, we must admit that it is limited particularly in implementations Afternoon (2 control changes only!) And in the quality of dynamic effects (compressors, EQs and Distos).

In conclusion, it is a good effect used as an insert with a good preamp noon for reverbs, delays and chorus. While it is a bit dated. But hey ... what does that mean old music? Huh? It's just a fashion story up, rather ... No?
