Multi purpose well numrique sr, with an expression pedals incorporate.
Look very nice, Star Wars style machine, but it is plastic prs!
This is all the same effect of a low-end but rput (it's not the Line6 Pod).

UTILIZATION

One branch and it works!

SOUND QUALITY

Good sound, it's numrique somewhat well mtallique sr.

No effect is the height of a good analog pedals and you have all the same not expect to have the sound of a stack even if it says!
That said the number of effects is about INTERESTED, and if there is really one that you boot, you can buy it then.
The distorss are not really bad, but the same, you will not have an analog pedals or amp lamps: it is the suggestion, but has the right to give an ide MRIT things.

UTILIZATION

Using this pedal is relatively intuitive but also simplified compared to the plants sounds found in the family of multi-effects. For those who never touched a camera of this kind, will take about three uses to be perfectly at ease. The effects are very easy to edit. The manual is clear and well detailed.

SOUND QUALITY

I do not use many effects. Zoom those of 606 I have not scored for their sound quality except possibly the flanger, chorus, phaser and tremolo. There is also a thing called Slow Attack that slows the attack and sound reminiscent of a violin. Thrilling but no more. The wah is not bad but sounds a little electronic certain frequencies. Delays and reverbs I have not scored either. The digital reverb my amp is exploitable (Marshall MG30DFX). Other effects seemed to me almost useless as the pitch.

The expression pedal is obviously very useful for effects like wah, but can also show an interest as a volume pedal. on the other hand I never got to use it to cut some effects such as flanger and phaser (it seems they may yet). So what compelled me to change the patch to bypass the pedal, or to interrupt my game to remove them (it quickly becomes annoying ...).

Simulations of HP are pretty friendly but we must recognize that they scan (too) sound. It is better to use it wisely in my opinion. Normally if your guitar has good pickups you should not need it. Or your amp is really bad! Lol I used a lot of simulation "Stack" on distorted sounds to add punch and the "Bright combo" to add shine and a side slam reminiscent of the Fender cleans certain sounds. The noise reduction (ZNR) can be used with or without simulation of HP. There is also a compressor and limiter, which can help boost overall (I'm rarely used).

Among the amp simulations (which are actually mostly just distos), there was plenty to choose from. I loved the acoustic simulation (ac), and disto PVY (Pu), expected to produce a sound of tube amp saturated after the record. I used it (and most distos) on my amp as well on the clean channel, that as a boost on boosted channel from the Input jack. For fans of the vintage, there are some overdrive, sounds slap in the Fender cleans, sound fuzz ... More or less realistic.

In fact, I think the major weakness of this pedal are the equalizers. Too worn on the "whole" or "nothing". It is preprogrammed and suddenly you can not always change the sound as desired, or it's too serious or too acute or when an effect as the delay is either too slow or too fast. We do not always find the right balance but also a matter of taste. The advantage is that we still do not approach the 40 to manipulations that his research.

I bought it in 2003 a few weeks after my first set guitar / amp. This is a multi-effects primarily designed for the beginner who plays in his room with his small combo 15W and his guitar entry. I had tried any model before buying. I gained word-of-mouth and I must say that I was not very excited at first. But after spending many hours tweaking the patches, I managed to get something suitable until they could pay me better equipment.

Since then I have found my happiness in terms of quality effects with a Boss GT-8. A factory next to the 606 which suddenly looks more like a toy than a multi-effects pedal. Mdr
If it again I will not redeem it for sure but I would definitely recommend to a beginner to become familiar with the gentle world of guitar effects and their parameters.

OVERALL OPINION

I say it's a gimmick.

This is a multi-effects pedal made by Zoom. I had it for awhile but it was discontinued and I have since sold it. It has 1/4" input and outputs. It's kind of old so it doesn't have much in the way of MIDI or computer connections. It's a digital effect, and an old one at that, so it doesn't have the sophistication or nuance of today's digital technology. It's not a rackable unit as it's a floor pedal and needs foot control to bypass and use the expression pedal.

UTILIZATION

Editing this pedal isn't that difficult, it has an easy interface to use. It has a total of 35 different effects, though only 9 can be played simultaneously (which is admittedly a lot). The controls for these effects are somewhat limited, and it certainly takes some time to control them. As convenient as it is to have all of these effects in one place, the specifics of each effect are very difficult if not impossible to really perfect and tailor to your needs. The manual explains how to do it but doesn't really change the fact that it's still difficult to make any of the individual effects that good.
The expression pedal goes a long way in customizing your sound, and making it more flexible while playing. But dialing in the right tone takes a lot of time and effort and it really leaves you with little wiggle room.

SOUND QUALITY

Quite frankly, this unit does not have good sound. It has very cliche sounds and the tone of each sound gets really muddy, unclear, and dulled by this pedal. The distortions are very fake and cliche, and would only work as an effect in a techno or other type of poppy, overly produced type of sound. For me, that's not the sign of a good pedal. Considering you can use good pedals for those ends anyway, there's nothing really that great about these sounds other than quantity, but that's not really important when it comes to sound. I honestly feel I'm being generous by giving this a 4.

OVERALL OPINION

This isn't a very good pedal and I was glad to be rid of it. It has been discontinued for good reason. I'm hoping that Zoom has updated the pedal enough to sound good and perhaps have more controls, though I'm very skeptical. Basically I'd say that the best course of action for people who are interested in this type of pedal is to buy a better one, which will probably be more expensive. Or perhaps just buy individual pedals, which will pretty much guarantee good sounds, if not as many.
