Excellent guitar!

Hufschmid Guitars Blackdroid 7Published on 08/16/16 at 02:56
Simply put, this guitar is phenomenal. I have been in love with Patrick's work for many years, and when I was in the market for a 7 string guitar, this came up serendipitously. I couldn't resist, and bought it. It has had a long past, passing through the hands of Fred Brum originally before his Jaden Rose endorsement, and many others. Despite its age, it seems brand new, and shows no issues.

The striking thing about Patrick's guitars is the attack; as the pick goes through the string, the whole guitar snaps and resonates, giving this massive, instantaneous wall of tone. The striking thing about Patrick's guitars is the attack; as the pick goes through the string, the whole guitar snaps and resonates, giving this massive, instantaneous wall of tone. The pickups are Kent Armstrong ones, which, while hot, are excellent. I've never played better pickups. They have a warmth, low end and bite which I've never heard before, and combined with the ridiculous resonance if the guitar, it just sounds incredible. The guitar also shreds serenely. I've not played many guitars on the same level of playability, and it is incredibly flattering to ones playing.

The other thing about the guitar is obviously the way it looks. It's beautiful, and I love it. Simple, elegant, aggressive, pure and clean. I get so many questions and compliments about this guitar, which Patrick deserves. He builds wonderful guitars, and I hope to own another one day!

I've played many many high end guitars, and I can comfortably hold this up as one of my absolute favourites. The build quality is top notch, and it suits everything I do.

Specs:
Mahogany body and neck
Bloodwood fretboard
Kent Armstrong pickups
Hipshot bridge and open gear locking tuners
25.5" scale
Infinite radius fingerboard
Volume and 3-way selector

I tune to D-standard with D'addario NYXL 11-64 strings, and play heavy metal, progressive metal and djent.
