ESP is indeed celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and launches for the occasion various ESP and LTD limited editions. Details of the guitars are not online yet, but here’s what we know so far.
The LTD EC-2015 (Les Paul type, 300 models only), MH-2015 (Stratocaster-type with string-thru-body and online tuners, 300 copies) and H7–2017 (7-string, Strat type with string-thru-body and 3+4 tuners, 200 copies only) all have a quilted maple top, ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl inlays, two EMG MetalWorks humbucking pickups, black hardware and Thru Black Satin finish.
ESP adds to them two handmade 40th Anniversary Eclipse (Les Paul type), each limited to 20 copies. The Tiger Eye finish model has a gold hardware and the See Thru Black is all black.
