«  This card has a limited interest today. »

The big problem with this card is that it only contains waveforms.

Let me explain what makes the character of a synthesizer (vintage or not), it is not only its oscillators, but before any filter.

However, if the card SR-JV80-04 has the waveform synthesizers "classic" course patches can be programmed by exploiting the filter JD or JV / XP in which it is inserted, giving them the sonic character of a JD or JV / XP, and not the character of a Moog, an Arp or a Jupiter 8.

Warning: I did not say that the sound is bad (on the contrary, Roland programmers have done a good job, the sounds are hot, especially with a JD-990), but they are typed "JD" or "JV", and it is illusory to recreate the sounds of vintage "classic" with this card.
