« Good autowah / drive for synth bass and »
Published on 01/29/13 at 07:10
Value For Money :
Poor
Effects pedal analog kind autowah + preamp / drive
-External power (no battery)
Strong-box with a bypass button that is on the effect and not the drive
5 buttons with:
-1 Potentiometer drive (pre-filled with beautifully colored, see below)
A button-mix (dosage effect, very good)
Jacket, cutoff and resonance
-1 Switch to switch 2 pole filter 4 pole, allowing for a more or less soft
-1 Switch for the speed of the envelope
You can add an expression pedal
Mono
No MIDI
No memories
UTILIZATION
Not obvious at first, you eventually master this in one evening!
The general editing is easy and you can always find a good compromise with possible adjustments between the intensity of the effect, the rate of activation (envelope) and cutoff. Resonance is the icing on the cake.
This effect is great for bass, whether it be a bass guitar or synth.
For lad / a synth pad is interesting, and even the organ.
It produces an effect that makes the bass autowah nervous, to produce cocottes funk
The drive more or less pushed, gives a punch and a safe really great. This works well on a bass guitar, synth VA (North lead, ...), and even an analog synth.
For digital synth, the analog drive side is very nice.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound quality is the appointment, like all moogerfooger.
The drive, impossible to pass by, gives a warm and punch
OVERALL OPINION
I've had 4 months without a mandatory equipment, is really great for any bassist or keyboardist.
I use it on bass, on digital and analog synth. It warms my Nordlead beautifully and gives punch to my old jx3p (analog) that does not have a great level of output. For bass, it may be the only pedal required.
Most:
The warm sound of the drive, the effect of super low, the overall quality
Cons:
No battery, no memory of midday => bad quality / price ratio
