My FA101 is connected a Dell Inspiron 8600c, via an external hard drive Maxtor One Touch (string in firewire).
She is more of interface audio mixer:
my instruments are directly above (a-station, CS1x, V-AMP2) (2 and then remains free admission) and the Mix knob allows shuffled the audio signal from the computer and the instruments as input e (direct monitoring).
My base is under Sonar 2.2 XL.
Since I lay, my mixer is stored in the closet!
Note that in this config, only my V-AMP2 between a sufficient level without the need correction. For two synths, knobs jOperation the gain of between 1-2 and 7-8.
Cest that the its a shame: the entries that are 1-2 combo XLR / Jack are taken by an instrument and therefore not prepared for micros in basic configuration
UTILIZATION
No installation problem: I just followed the instructions and everything went as planned ... fun!
APRS rglage the buffers, has turned!
GETTING STARTED
My config is perfectly stable. No problem up.
I am currently working on projects with two dozen audio tracks, one or two virtual instruments and effects plug-ins, plus MIDI tracks ... TRS has turned good!
(I limit myself to 48khz)
OVERALL OPINION
I am satisfied with my purchase trs.
I had an M-Audio Duo before, which n'tait not able to mix the signal from the computer and the instruments come into direct monitoring; c'tait either one or the another.
With the FA, everything became easier and less cumbersome.
So was not worth more compltes interfaces, but at the cost o it sells, I think it is a dj trs good solution for those who want more entries.
