J 'was in search of a nice sound card, equipped with preamps, and a substantial number of I / sorties...J''ve been served! My complete studio revolves around this card (Sony DMX-R100 in AES and ADAT, various high-end preamps). Installation is super simple, no problem, however I have had problems with Windows 7 on a setup with a laptop!
The interface is pretty, and quality of manufacture is generally satisfactory, although we would have liked the knobs more robust.
I / O AES / EBU would have been great, but you can not have everything!

UTILIZATION

The card has never been planted that it was installed under Windows XP to run smoothly with Nuendo 3, with low latency and an incredible number of tracks.

GETTING STARTED

No inconsistency was noted for the moment, just a few hiccups in seven.

OVERALL OPINION

J 'using this card for about 2 years. I tried a little before models equivalent MOTU, E-mu ... This map is much more powerful and stable. Its interface is very nice, the inputs and outputs are easily manageable. The proposed Liquid preamps are nice enough to use and offer a verse teaching for designers to find preamps legend through emulation. Nice but not essential, especially as I think these preamps are a bit light for the final work, like other preamps I n the card will use it only in emergencies or supplements.
The monitoring section also breath a little.
In summary I would say that that is an excellent interface, whose price is well deserved, that will find its place in the heart of your studio / home studio!
