Published on 07/09/11 at 00:10The Firewire connection has motivated my choice, and of course the quality of the products M-AUDIO. 2 input combo jack / XLR, 2 x Jack, a MIDI and S / PDIF = everything you need in Home Studio (2 headphone outputs!).
Shure Beta 58 mic XLR, Jack Bass Live and POD X3 Live Line 6 S / PDIF connections are my base, everything goes perfectly.
Taken voice, percussion, didgeridoo in, everything goes with its high quality.
The outputs are mono, they may be down, the paired, a console software provided allows you to easily manage configs.
UTILIZATION
Drivers stable, I use most often Ableton Live and all is well. Short latency. I can read as many tracks as I want, but the computer that blocks after a moment, not the card!
The problem that I rarely, is to have the sound output of my software can not the sound card. I do not know if it has windows, bad Firewire controller, or driver. I just need to power cycle the sound card so that it works well again.

OVERALL OPINION
I have been using qques years in home studio and in concert with all these movements is still in very good condition.
I had a lot of material in the hands, and this card fits perfectly in a home studio, although with its six possible inputs simultaneously, there is room to store a small group and prepare a beautiful model!
