OVERALL OPINION
I had a 800 for FF qques months. I've never driven into her entrenchment, so I can not testify intelligently on its technical characteristics.
The only thing I can say: pay attention to the FireWire interface that you take. I first took a low-end in Conrad failure, the card was not running (200 ms latency in Cubase ...). I took a Texas Instrument chipset, and then everything changed.
I sold and have opted for a Focusrite, who does the same job for half the price.
The Fireface is a safe bet, even if it is an older generation (therefore less optimized at prices that Focusrite has rightly).
