OVERALL OPINION
Yeah I reu in 5 days with T-bone microphone for singing beginners in April 2009 by the German site. And frankly it's the bomb! So I prcise I'ma nophyte So I give you my impressions but not too Whereas.
The case is larger than it parat the pictures. The quality of the housing is good but the rest of the plastic
The buttons have a good rglage Resistors (a runs well I do not know how to express myself) and the wheel Ragit even better!
Premire surprises: the book and FireWire cable 6 pin / 6 pin. Between my laptop with only 4 pins of I go to Carrefour to buy a cable 4 pin / 6 pin (12 euros).
I galr Vista. The driver is not recognized or gnrique ASIO4ALL driver. I saw on the official website that while there is a vista compatible driver said in a document they prcisent that vista is not officially support.
So I reinstalled windows XP (which I should have done long ago for many other reasons).
And the pilot "Tascam FireOne" is recognized (on the other hand ASIO4ALL does not work).
I tried the Ableton Live software that came with the card demo (limit 4 tracks and 2 effects per track). Trs is unstable and more I can not configure the shortcuts of the card the wheel.
I then replaced by Cubase SX3. And it's the bomb.
trs it works well! Even with multiple effects mic + guitar singing is impeccable. Trs is stable and the quality of the sound is perfect for my ears
There is a patch for cubase install when you install the official driver (so before installing Cubase) and shortcuts Firon trs walk well (You must choose the options peripherals "Asio Tascam FireOne" otherwise you may have a lot of latency. For example the wheel to navigate a track is a rgal.
I t surprised not to choose the sound output through my pc. I have to go out the sound of the FireOne. It's not a big problem either.
LED / wheel for mtronome not work well trs (to trigger only 2 out of 4 times but I can not possibly be well set.
I install Guitar Rig 3 and Amplitube 2.
I abandoned the first as well as trs INTERESTED gre shortcuts FireOne card (I'm not Russian for the wheel) but the sound contains noise for some pr-r tings.
on the other hand with AmpliTube's magic! Perfect sound and no matter how many effects you can play live. Latency is imperceptible (default 5ms, we can get 2 ms but I see no difference and I know if a enlve of quality so I remain in default).
(There is no latency problem when registering with cubase + plugin AmpliTube guitar and microphone with direct return our answer to your question)
This is a little to my expriences résumé:
- Vista trash
- Ableton Live trash
Cubase SX3 + trs well recognized
+ Amplitube 2 trs well recognized
+ No perceptible latency guitar (effective) + microphone singing (effective)
+ It only cost me 125 + 10 + 12 port for cable (I think a proper enfn from my research and especially the many possiblilité opened up this sound card!)
