UTILIZATION

It's not a studio console: no solo, no monitor output. But if you use a controller monitoring, it will adapt easily.

I bought it as a console to save the extra live on my magneto multitrack.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the brand Allen & Heath for 20 years under conditions of use to hair pulling (rain, mud, sea salt, sand, sea spray, etc..). Never surprises.
A ZED with the quality of the GL series.
Despite the internal power supply, the console heats up very little.
Allen & Heath finally gives us the material accessible to all.
By opening its know-how to budget, they also thought the media by inserting a USB port.

THE least: the famous USB port. Nowadays, we should have had at least the 2.0. Which would record more tracks.
But his philosophy is not for the home studio, which is primarily a live console that gives the opportunity to save or restore the sound on the computer.

At least it comes with Sonar LE. This is the minimum for any beginner in assembling live.
24 track analog (his English) can be stored on computer is from 6000 €.

ZED 428 is therefore a good value for money. Need I remind you that it's made in China? Assemblers and we respected the specifications of the brand.

SOUNDS

My first conclusion is not sound, the musisciens taient and the public satisfied. The musicians love the sound in the back.

OVERALL OPINION

Taking advantage of a promotion I had the 24 tracks at a price of 16, but eventually I would happy with 16. Prvoir a hardcase for transport because it is heavy and cumbersome. I do not regret my choice because the sound is excellent.
