recording latency with Scarlett 2i2

Hey guys,

Kind of confused here. So I have a click track already imported into multitrack editor.... and when I record my vocals over top of it, and then go to play it back, the vocals are out of sync with the click track. It's rather painful to listen to. Maybe like a quarter second off.

I am using the "direct monitoring" switch, but it doesn't seem to be doing the job for me. How do I get around this troublesome issue?
