Thread Saffire Pro 24 - Do I need Active or Passive Monitors?

Hi,

I've recently purchased a Saffire Pro 24 and want to connect two Stage Monitors to it - can anyone advise what I need in the way of specs for the monitors please?

a) active or passive (my setup is mac - saffirepro24 - monitors i.e. no amplifier or mixer etc)
b) speaker size (ohms, size,watts?)

Any help much appreciated
