1 Line-in recordings through Scarlett 18i6
Hey, I've been using my Scarlett 18i6 for a while now, and have had no problem recording with it. Thing is, I've only ever used microphones (xlr) to record, which the computer has picked up fine through my interface. But recently I tried recording directly by plugging my guitar and bass into the line inputs (3 and 4), which the interface and it's digital mixer pick up fine. However, for some reason this signal doesn't reach the computer, and I don't understand why this is. There's nothing wrong with the cable and the computer recognises the Scarlett fine (since I had been recording through it with mics previously). It's possible that the computer only recognises the first two inputs, but I have no idea how make inputs 3 and 4 be recognised as 1 and 2. I'm new to this kind of recording, and am wondering if there's something obvious that I've missed. Any help would be awesome,
