How do record with Focusrite Pro40?

I've successfully managed to install it on my pc, connected the mic but can't seem to get any input/output sound. Can I record with the mixer program supplied or do I have to use a daw like cubase or adobe audition?

What is your OS and which version of Saffire Mix Control have you installed?

Have you tried using another mic / instrument / cable / input?

Saffire Mix Control is not a DAW for recording audio such as Cubase and Adobe Audition. You may want to check our answerbase for tutorials.
