help required Saffire Pro 14 and Mix Control Issue

I have a Pro 14 I'm using with PC (Intel i7, Windows 7 64 bit).
In MixControl, the meters randomly show signals when nothing is playing or connected.
It does it on different channels, seemingly at random and at random times..

I've done the usual stuff, uninstalled, reinstalled, checked driver versions correct and up-to-date, but it's done it with every version and every version of MixControl I've had.
Has anyone else had this ?
