Microsoft have released Windows 8 and Focusrite details how this may affect its audio interfaces.
The following products have been seen to work with Windows 8 using the latest public release of the relevant driver:
- Scarlett 2i2
- Scarlett 2i4
- iTrack Solo
- Saffire 6 USB
- Forté
Products that are not currently compatible with Windows 8 are as follows:
- VRM Box
- Scarlett 8i6
- Scarlett 18i6
- Saffire Pro 14
- Saffire Pro 24
- Saffire Pro 24DSP
- Saffire Pro 40
- Liquid Saffire 56
Development is currently under way for official Windows 8 compatibility which will be announced soon. Focusrite recommends that you wait for at least 6 months or more before updating to the latest OS until any unexpected issues arise and are dealt with.
