Ableton Live Lite 7

Abelton Live Lite 7 was quick and easy to install and I had no compatibility issues with my computer or with my set up. The interface of Ableton Live Lite 7 is straightforward, and doesn't take too long to figure out what everything does. However, there are a lot of ins and outs of this program and the manual can be helpful when using this sequencer.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I have run Abelton Live Lite 7 on a few different machines, but primarily have used it on a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz processor and 4 GB of RAM. Since Pro Tools is my main sequencer, I use a Digi 002 R as an audio interface. With this set up, and the other set ups I have used this software with, I have never have a problem running all the tracks and effects I need to. It always runs smoothly and stable and for me without any issues.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using Abelton Live Lite 7 for around three years and it is useful as much as it is interesting. Live 7 is aimed at users who want to set up tracks to use in a live setting. This means for loops, samplers, or anything else you would want to use it for. It is also capable of being your standard digital audio workspace and has all of the things that you would think would come with your standard DAW. For example, faders, EQs, effects, and editing and mixing capabilities. While the price of Abelton Live Lite 7 is usually free (as I got it with another software, as a demo), even if you want to get Abelton Live 7 (the full version) it really won't even cost you that much. If you are an artist who plays live and wants the studio and the live world to interact, this is software for your. Overall, Abelton Live Lite 7 is a smartly designed program with a variety of capabilities.

This is the Line 6 edition book bundled with the Toneport UX2 (8 tracks, number of usable plugins at the same time very limited ditto for instruments etc ...)
Installation is no problem, once the software installed and cl between software tlcharge few instruments / effects and more, it's not very long, has happens all alone.
Very simple configuration. The manual as it is very good and very complete, it diffrentes Business detail the function of soft.
note that lessons are available within the same software and allow both to understand the basic operation of Live.

ADQUATION / PERFORMANCE

I use a white Macbook Core 2 Duo 2.1GHz, 1GB RAM, OSX 10.5.7. Resource consumption is very low (at the same time given the number of tracks and maximum impact possible, the opposite would be surprising). Everything is very stable no complaints.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use this software for a month now and I must say I am surprised me myself.
This dish me is rather relative Live (not specially this version): the very clear interface, very easy to understand and operate globally very quickly assimilated. What I also liked was the fact of having only 8 tracks, which incit me hack to exploit the maximum software (eg to table tennis with the tracks, as on old ... magnetos)
Which is much less convenient is the very limited number of effects (you can not put a same EQ per track which is when even trspnalisant).
I tried a few before sequencers (Cubase, Tracktion, Grageband, Logic) and I have to say that Live is surely the one I'm most comfortable.
So obviously, this is not so much for you to REALLY use is gift with lots of gear and functionalities are great limitations. They just want to give us envi buy Live and I think it works
So surely nobody will focus on this particular release but still nice try (or why not to make quick demos).
