- No problem for installation but as usual for the Pro Tools file is large ...

- Configuration of Pro Tools is pretty simple, if you take the time to read the manual, but must admit that the GUI is quite nice!

- No incompatibilities encountered ....

- The manual is clear. There is everything you need for this is that I do.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

- Macbook, Mac OSX Snow Leopard, 2.4 Ghz dual core, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 256GB HDD + 1TB, Apogee Duet 2

- In terms of performance it's getting better but it's not what's best ...

- Otherwise the software works well, just always long to start ...

- Pro Tools, Apogee recognizes my interface well, no worries ...

OVERALL OPINION

- I have been using version 8, so it's time but now I switched to Reaper for many reasons!

- What I like about Pro Tools is, the GUI is quite nice, the management for post-production and the new Channel Strip
- What I like least is not Freeze, not 64bit, use of resources makes it difficult to see and export again in real time ...

- I tested, Logic Pro 9 Reaper 4, Ableton Live 8, Harrison 2 Mixbus and stuff ...
I shook my HM 2 for analog side and all that. If not in performance Reaper 4 is much better than Pro Tools 10.

- The quality / price is justified in half:
First, do not know how to use Pro Tools is what cut of some clients and employers (one can not deny it ...), Virtual instruments are not too bad, it has interesting features for the Post-Prod including ...
On the other hand, not 7.1, Reaper here, no Frezze, not 64 bit, a resource management below that of Reaper. It is cumbersome to install and download. The updates coutes expensive for some things that others have already ...

I will not continue this comparison but hey I lost more time in Avid products ...
