Reason 8 will be available on September 30th, and you can now be one of the beta testers.
For this new version of the DAW, Propellerhead focused on a new GUI which should allow for quicker and enhanced workflow, with drag and drop function for almost everything and an always available sound and instrument browser.
Various improvements will be added, such as double click to add or delete notes, a quick command to duplicate note and the track name now relies on the patch you load.
Propellerhead also included new guitar and bass amp and cab modelings from Softube.
These are the first good news. Icing on the cake, if you purchase or upgrade now to Reason 7, you’ll get a grace period and will receive Reason 8 for free when released. All the details about this offer, as well as the link to participate in the beta test phase, are online at www.propellerheads.se.
Pricing:
- Reason 8 Standard: 405€
- Reason 8 Essential: 120€
- Upgrade from previous versions: 129€ (grace period for users who purchased Reason 7 on or after July 1st).
