Gnrale configuration very easy, I could install my FaderPort without any worries. No incompatibility notes today. Manual and assistance than enough (again, for someone who is used it is almost optional, if not for a nophyte is nickel)
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
started dating my config: Pentium 4Prescott, CM ASUS P4P800SE / 2GB of DDR2 Ram / Disk Systm Raptor 36 GB / 1 TB Seagate drive datas / sound card Echo MIA MIDI
The perfs to show up for a project about 50 audio tracks + insert plugs into any kind. I prcise that the PC is not that and that was running Windows XP with optimization for computer music (no games, MSN, etc ...)
In this context, Cubase is running without any problem, never crash and remarkable stability.
OVERALL OPINION
I am a Cubase user since 2003, this version More precisely since September 2011.
I test Ableton Live before going in SX3 version 5 but not sure ... May be I am too used the Cubase environment ...
What I like most? : Its interface and its ability to paramtrage (I doubt that the softs competitors offer the same thing nanmoins). The Device Panels that you can find a and l are also friendly and I like also the editor Intgr audio and MIDI effects Submitted few, adpanne often. ReWire protocol is excellent, perfect example with Reason
What I like least? : I'm kind of books by the standard VST instruments or effects. Do not expect to complete a project with. This seems more cot Logic provided (but exclusive worldwide MAC). Time strech its algorithm seems prfre perfectible and I often use Sound Forge for this kind of manipulation. Reverence, convolution reverb I also left on my hunger ...
The ratio quality / price (nine) is okay. I expected a possibly offer better quality in Contents of plug-ins software is fournis.Le trs good job but its actually quite small cots mdiocre and still does not justify the price . However, on occasion, impeccable!
I do it again this choice with the exprience, nanmoins, I would soon evolve as a platform for MAC is an opportunity to test Logic! But it is true that Cubase will always have a special place in my set.
