Install without any problems. We install the security key and Cubase (less than 5 min).
Not incompatible with my Yamaha 01x (on the contrary, the exchange protocol is perfect).
Config easy manual in French on paper impecable.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
Acer laptop with a PIV 2.8 Ghz, 512 ram, it runs very well with a lot of tracks (40 with no problem if there are no plugs too greedy).
Config stable.
Update:
PC with a PIV 3.4 GHz and 2 GB of ram, not to saturate (my biggest project contains 75 audio tracks with Equal and automation of almost all, qq effects inserts, 6 Sends greedy: convolution reverb Example 3 and virtual instruments with MOTU Symphonic Orchestra)
OVERALL OPINION
I have a few months and I do not regret it.
I like the ease of use with an interface that looks like the hardware.
I made the comparison with Cubase SX 2 (less stable), Cubase SX 3 (much more expensive for very specific functions rarely used), and Cubase SE (this is really too light and not to use config 01x in the remote.)
Quality / price ratio rather good, I make the same choice without any problems.

Definitely a fan of Cubase SL 3, I tried Logic Express on intel mac for my girlfriend who does not want Cubase (grrr. ..) and the interface is frankly less thinking, the possibilities are below I found in it.
