7 bands set, case very light (not reassuring, but it holds). No true bypass.

    UTILIZATION

Configuration is very simple, after a few tries you can easily find the suitable setting.

    SOUND QUALITY

Once the settings are not made secret, it sounds. IUL no blast or parasites (unless you put all the settings back ... recess).
    It can serve as booster.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 months, no complaints yet. For 30 € I found the perfect pedal for my budget.
The only "negative" would finish the point, which is a little toy, but there taking care, there's no problem.
I would do the same choice without problem!

    SOUND QUALITY

Indeed very very good for its price! We can shape the sound with this pedal makes very good job! (A note just a little buzz when you walk up to the last cursor background, so the band acute 6.4K. Finally if you want me as much treble, treble booster buy two you will like this!)

It is a clone of the Boss GE-7. So the sound quality is perfect almost identical. Silent and usable in the studio!

I use it with a Strat and a Gretsch on an amp that has no EQ on the clean channel, so it's handy like that. In addition, a pedal like this one is even more accurate than 3 amp settings "Bass" "Middle", "Treble" ...

    OVERALL OPINION

For € 35 you have a damn good equalizer, simple, very effective. In addition to this pedal is very small, so in a pedalboard is impeccable and she is more pretty / vintage! The Boss GE-7 is about € 90 on the net. At that price, you can have almost 3 Danelectro! The price is really justified, and this pedal is amazing! Not need the boss, unless you jump every time on your pedals to activate ;). I truly believe that we do not talk enough DANELECTRO doing awesome pedals (I have a REAL ECHO is just superb) and cheap and very good!
With the experience I think that choice again!

The Danelectro Fish and Chips pedal is a 7 band EQ pedal with an overall volume slider. The pedal has 7 sliders that can cut or boost that frequency by 15dB. The bands available are 100, 200, 400, 800 1.6k, 3.2k, and 6.4k. The pedal can be powered by 9 volt batter or external AC adapter. The pedal is very small when compared to a Boss sized pedal. A mono input and a mono output are available.

    UTILIZATION

This pedal is another pedal from the Dano Food series. Like all the other pedals from this series, it is a pedal that is made of plastic. This worried me at first glance but after owning a few pedals from this series I haven’t thought about it since. It is a very reliable pedal and I’ve never heard of any one crushing the shell of the pedal or footswitches breaking. People have lost the tips off the sliders, but that’s no big deal and can be remedied with a little glue. For a plastic pedal these little guys can take a beating. It’s a very straightforward layout and the sliders seem sturdy and hold your settings well.

    SOUND QUALITY

The Fish and Chips really lets you shape the tone of your gear. It lets you craft your sound to the exact frequencies you hear in your head. I love low powered tube amps, but once you get down to 10 to 15 watters, they really start cutting back on features. A lot of micro amps cut back on the EQ sections, and that’s where an EQ pedal really comes in handy to make these amps useful. It is also good in the loop of larger amps to help shape the overall tone. The pedal makes a great solo boost because you can not only adjust the overall volume of the solo using the volume slider, you can also boost the frequencies that really let your guitar cut through a dense mix and stand out like a solo should. This pedal does have a buffered output and there may be a little bit of high end loss, but it’s very slight. This pedal is no where near as noisy as the GE-7 from Boss. I much prefer the Danelectro version.

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall this is a pretty good EQ pedal, and a great one at this price. It does do a great job of shaping your tone and allowing you to boost your volume or certain frequencies. The MXR offerings are very nice EQ pedals, and I use one now, but my Danelectro has lasted for years and I had no real complaints with it other than opting for something different. The Boss GE-7 that I had previously been using was bumped for the Fish and Chips because the Danelectro is a much quieter operating pedal, at least in my different rigs. For 30 US dollars, there isn’t much else in it’s marketplace, and it’s probably because a company would need to do a lot of research to figure out a way to make a better EQ pedal for the price. Great tweakability on the cheap.

    SOUND QUALITY

The effect is super efficient, it is not necessary to adjust the sliders to receive great a change, as a result, refining his independently according to each frequency is super accurate. While the pedal emits a slight hiss when the volume slider up generally, but can be remedied by leaving it in position 0. otherwise, nothing to say, this pedal really helps to sculpt the sound mégapropre.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it recently, but spent half an hour to tweak and adjust each frequency band, I fashioned her a nickel. is the first and only model I've tried EQ, I bought it secondhand on AudioFanzine after consulting the reviews on this type of pedal. the price / quality ratio is really interesting in view of the quality and indispensable part of the effect in a chain, especially when you have a budget (TES) limited. So, it is certainly possible to beat, but at what cost? in short, to have no regrets about this investment.

Used in the clear by increasing the treble and bass is also very effective.

FYI, I use it in this configuration: http://xkalikx.free.fr/Images/schema% 20copie.jpg

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 months or so.
I bought it blindly trusting in me to believe that I found on the net, I was not disappointed.
It took me a while to really find a practical use for this pedal but now she will remain faithful to the booster station.
The price / quality ratio is very good, it will just be careful not to jump on it like a buffalo.

With experience, I would hesitate to buy a second OD Belcat, but my gut tells me that I did well to buy this pedal, an equalizer is used in many situations;)

I have two! One in front and one in the loop.

    UTILIZATION

The general configuration is obviously basic. The manual, I can not remember more than that. I think it was a piece of useless paper.

The small size of the pedal and the rear positioning of the connector is a considerable asset for the owners of pedalboard. Side of the coin, the switch must be aimed for large feet.

    SOUND QUALITY

The equation is quite efficient, silent upstream or in the loop. With the same guitar, and without turning the knobs, you get under the foot can change his. This pedal seems very useful in groups, so that the guitar less pump frequencies of the bass or vocals while leaving most of the mix. It is essential for me when I use a looper, as overdubs does not work on it. It's really more than a gadget.

With a keyboard that's great also to counteract the coldness of certain sounds without resorting to distortion.

For the price it is excellent. Some find their happiness with parametric equations, more suitable in some situations, but personally I am very pleased that one.

In fact, since I had to come back and clean boost, I tend not to use it and stay up to 0. Signal degradation is not frightening (to some extent), but I have enough headroom also not to use it here.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use two Fish & Chips in three years. Following a story I will not tell here, I got two for the price of one (well, I have said anything wrong ...), is 17.50 euros each. At this price, it is the dream!

Since I am very happy and I do not need equalization even more precise, I keep both for a while yet.

Danelectro is a company known for making cheap garbage guitars since the 50s. They also make cheap pedals and unlike their guitars their pedals are usable. The Fish & Chips EQ is a pretty basic EQ but it does everything it says it should. It is based on a Boss EQ pedal. It has 7 bands of adjustment with a boost level. This pedal shows that you dont have to pay 100+ dollars for just a little EQ pedal.

    UTILIZATION

There is no free lunch. The low cost of this pedal comes at a price. The pedal is no where near sturdy feeling. If you step on it too hard it feels like it may break. The chassis is made out of plastic so that should tell you. This is not really a pedal you should be stompi…

There is no free lunch. The low cost of this pedal comes at a price. The pedal is no where near sturdy feeling. If you step on it too hard it feels like it may break. The chassis is made out of plastic so that should tell you. This is not really a pedal you should be stomping on and off all night. This is a set it and forget it pedal or something you put in your rack. The sliders are nice and have an indentation in the middle so you can tell when you are 50/50.

    SOUND QUALITY

The money they saved on the chassis went into the tone of this pedal. It sounds really good. It is a lot quieter than EQ models costing twice as much. With the boost feature you can use it as a clean boost or boost up a certain section of yoru sound. Dialing in some high mids can really make your sound cut through if you are in a thick mix or running a thick gain setting on your amp. Dialing in some lows can really add some meat to a strat or teles sound.

    OVERALL OPINION

This pedal shows not everything in your pedal board has to be super boutique and rare. This pedal is like 20 bucks and gets the job done as good as any other 7 band EQ will and you can use it as a clean boost. If you are looking for a nice cheap EQ to fill out your pedal board with this is a good option.

Pedal that I like because it has an unbeatable value for money, bought new in 35 euros, why deprive yourself.
except as mentioned above I leave permanently enabled because its switch is really rotten, badly done, it feels not to walk if you activate the pedal or not.
For frequent use with the foot I do not recommend it but rather the boss GE7, if not for the rest I prefer it more it is pretty ^ ^
