- Mine is 50 watts. Connected to a Diezel 212 oversized (almost as big as a 4x12!)
- Connectivity, you can connect any speaker (2x4ohms, 2x8 and 1x16).
- Loop series
- Parallel loop (with a volume for the latter)
- 2 EL34 power tubes side (you can put almost all kinds of lamps most classic EL34, KT77, KT88, 6L6, and so on ...)
- 6 preamp tubes (ECC83)
- 2 channels: Channel 1 with 3 modes (basically a light, a crunch, a distortion) and channel 2: Lead.
- Each channel has a 3 band eq independent (aspen, middle, bass) + Gain and Volume.
- Adjustment in common: Presence (add the medium) and Deep (rounded and pointed out the bass: excellent!)
- Note: two masters; handy.

UTILIZATION

Configuration extremely simple manual on the internet not essential, but describes how the amp reacted to different settings it provides.

This gives a good sound immediately. With any setting, it sounds ..
After, of course, the more detailed, the more we find the desired sound, and there, easily attain Nirvana sound! (Laughs)

SOUNDS

Channel 1 Mode 1: Clean crunch that not even gain at 3 o'clock. Very hot if desired, also highly crystalline if desired .... short, it can touch a lot of sound cleans in this mode. I compare it to clean better than the Fender ... And yes, it seems surprising for a typical hard rock amp, but try and see!

Channel 1, Mode 2: From the small to the big crunch bluesy rock that task well, the stoner, heavy hard rock, anything goes! AC / DC, yes we can, Metallica, yes, you can too, and I stopped there, otherwise I do not finish you mention ... ! NOTE (which is a big plus for me (a point that can be "negative" for others), the crunch / OD of this amp to one side "rough", not smooth like the distortion of grinding, for example).

Channel 1, Mode 3: The large OD a huge distortion ... It is a modern, cutting edge without being cold as some Peavey example;'s all good! Excellent for heavy rhythmic rock, palm mute for metal pieces will énormissime magnitude, to shake the walls!

Channel 2: Similar in all respects to mode 3 channel 1, only it is more distinctive solo and makes better parts of "notes notes", so use solo and not in rhythm. Otherwise, its hell!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a long time, so specific advice, I have not tried 2 minutes in a shop next 40 people who tried something else, all at low volume.

It easily send everything to the stomach, even at low volume (huge plus point). But making a really crazy dynamic volume repeat (master on 3-4).

I wanted always been a VH4 or Herbert (from home Diezel), and then I came across a good deal on the Einstein, I did not hesitate. Me who wanted it until my VH4 or Herbert, I may well keep this Einstein as a complement to the other two!

The only downside in my opinion is with the gain around 2 buzz it pretty good (a little more than my correct), but a noise gate in front NS2 (paid 40 €), and total silence, so in the end , I strut.

For 1400-1500 € used, we really value for money, I would not hesitate one second to buy.

OVERALL OPINION

The top, the best head I had, quite heavy, very solid, of incomparable quality.

The Diezel Einstein is an amp to be reckoned with. Sporting four distinct sounds captured perfectly between two channels, it's the versatility you'd expect from a Diezel in a simpler and more compact offering. The einstein is available in a 50 or 100 watt model. The two channels operate separate eq, gain, and master volumes, channel one having 3 selectable modes. A global presence and deep control add more shaping options. An effects loop is present although onboard reverb is only available on the combos units. The Einstein carries all the typical aesthetic cues from the Diezel line but retains an easily identifiable look amongst the line.

UTILIZATION

The Einstein's mojo is all in the three selectable modes on the amp's first channel. Switching between the clean, texas, and mega modes gives you a good tone in just about every conceivable genre of music. Having the lead sound from the second channel are merely icing on the cake. As with all diezel's, the amp sounds so pleasing in the room that the amp never begs for time based effects to sweeten any particular setting. The amp sounds spectacular at both low bedroom volumes as well as at gigging levels. I am of no mind to question the durability of the amp, the chassis feels sturdier than most other offerings.

SOUNDS

I played through the Einstein with a Gibson Tweedy Sg. Mesa Boogie 4x12 cab. No pedals.

I couldn't really get a bad sound out of this amp. The clean mode had every positive attribute I could ascribe to a clean channel, in fact, if i had composed a checklist of everything i could have wanted from any aspect of the amp's sound-- that checklist would be completely filled in. The texas mode covered the edge-of-breakup territory splendidly. The Mega mode had more than enough gain than I'll ever need. Channel 2 ran the gambit of sweet mild overdrive to searing, screaming leads. Every sound you could want is in this amp, no questions about it.

OVERALL OPINION

The Diezel Einstein is the complete package. Straightforward feature set, some of the best sounds you'll ever get regardless of genre, and looks to kill. Did I mention it's built like a tank? The pricing is the only disappointment. You can score great deals on these used. I've found many around the $2200 price point, making it's closest competitor in the used market the Bogner 101b.

So I ressers testing, but short.
100w amp head, all supplied by four EL34 power tubes.
Two sections of eq, adjustable between two modes for the top section with the aptly named "1" for his lead and "2" for the very lead. Downstairs, another section allocated as follows: "1" clean, "2" crunch sounds at low gains, "3" of rock crunch are already more Home Team.
As every head diezel I know, you can order the head Footswitchable noon. I can not remember if it is provided.
Effects loop in series + parallel effects loop, a direct out, enough to connect its cabs and walked out.
At the finish, it is fully assumed in the rigor of Teutonic manufacturer. It's ugly, but some find it beautiful. But in any case it is stable.
Side of the electronics, as too often in guitar amplification, there is a printed circuit board industry with ten welds made by a human, all for 2,450 euros.On Diezel may leave the credit for particularly well developed a card printed and you run the 12 welds cleanly. But the work / price suffers. Similarly, I have big doubts about making 100% German announced by Diezel. I find here the type of component and assembly of many good products to Chinese (TAC C60, AstinTrew3500 and others).

UTILIZATION

No, the configuration is not simple. Indeed, a wise guy has said he would put all the best sounds on one channel, and on the other, all we probably never will use. SOUNDS

In this respect, the Einstein contains many sounds that can be pleasant. I actually found the signature of the least built around an electric buzz, and I hate signing which is an attribute of most of her peers. The phenomenon is less pronounced here.
The cleans are good, clinical course, but there is air, good clarity and the ability to exploit large volumes. For some guitarists these sounds are also close to the nirvana of guitar, a matter of taste in the end.
When one switches to crunch, the amp is not the most vintage, a little harsh sometimes, but never sterile. The sounds are very good crunch pushed up and I believe the true interest of the amp. They have a very stable foundation and a good organic base to exploit the amp in a lot of applications. In terms of lead, I'm skeptical. I have not been deceived, but are clearly not the sounds that I like in an amp. Let's say it is "the lead sound diezel" as some like, and it is there.
One point I forgot to mention ... I'm not a fan of the dynamics, which I find totally improved. We have seen better, it was better, and much cheaper. Here the amount of sound you can get out with your wrist and your finesse game will find a limit. This is unfortunate and confirms yet, suddenly, a note so severe that category.

OVERALL OPINION

This is clearly not a bad amp. Some affectionneront for its sounds a little less extreme than his brothers, more in touch with what is beautiful in a guitar sound. But for me, and for that price, we are in front of a product which is struggling to find good arguments. Maybe the competition has it become too strong, but the most excellent Müller Nighthawk, and some other Fryette Splawn, besides newcomers like blackstar or Carol-Ann. All these beautiful people is placed in its path with a multitude of sounds and good ergonomics almost always best for comparable prices.
I also specify that I re-write this memory test, the missile was tested about 4 years ago. If an error were to be slipped, thank you complain to the new site Audiofanzine via your nearest confessional.

This is the kind of amp that gets you familiar with the brand that eventually if things go right allow you to move into the flagship amp that amplifier companies sell for higher profit. This is a cool little amp that has some versatility but will always sound like a Diezel. I didn't find much use for it other than the higher gain channel/ mode. The first channel is a clean to moderate sizzle if you can call it that. The second seems more of options to fill the amp rather than make it usable. The third mode called Mega is where this thing really shines. It has a great and very forgiving gain staging...which is what I feel Diezel does best. There gain is world renown and it makes it hard to do much else with the amp. Control are as follows.

Equalization: Each channel treble, middle, bass addtionally presence and deep for the output section

UTILIZATION

One thing Diezel is known for is making a very user friendly front panel layout. It could get intimidating if your used to plexi layouts but with just minutes you can pretty much figure this out if you have spent anytime turning on a computer.

The first couple modes were pretty pointless to me. It didn't feel or really sound like something you would use for Texas blues or classic rock crunch. The high output gain really came alive when engaged and I felt like goofing around with this thing until I click this option on. I think Diezel could just save some money and make this a one channel amp with this function only. However, someone else may find the first two modes somewhat of use.

I didn't use any manual because it was used and for me I am familiar with Diezels so I didn't think it was necessary. Tone really comes from playing around with your preferred settings anyway. So just playing around for a few minutes will have ample amount of amp discovery.

SOUNDS

I was using a PRS and a Strat for most of my playing with this amp and I pretty much stay on the Mega mode function. It seems most amps try to do many things but do one thing really well.....Mega mode to me is what it does really well. So I stayed on that function the entire time.

The tone I was chasing was a saturated gain that would be present in heavy rock/metal. I didn't try any drop tunings with it. Not really the player that I am so just 440 and half step is where I generally stay.

I would say that the EQ was very efficient and usable throughout the spectrum. For me I find that sweet spot and stick with it. Once I got to Mega mode I didn't veer to far from that point.

OVERALL OPINION

I think this amp is a little over priced for what it is. It is built very well but I just didn't find much use for the other functions. The quality and workmanship was done very well.

I've played the VH4, Herbert, Schimdt, and the Einy. This one is a good intro into the Diezel club. I had fund playing it at lower volumes and stage levels as well. This is a keeper amp, unless you want to get a Herbert or VH4.
