the ToneLab is making a correct answer my request. Depending on the volume on the guitar or not I can saturate the ampli.La simulated fender as Marshall is excellent.
The ToneLab has a proper dynamics and provides a very good presence in a group. I play softer and hear me better.
the sound effects are very good in terms of investment
NOTICE GLOBAL
Is perfect guitarist seeking invetissement in material with a very good quality for money (468 effect on line)
I could have chosen a tube amp (peavey valve king example) but I would have to add + or even 250 in effect.
The ToneLab is a very good choice for blues lovers, rock, hard rock. For mtalleux, I remain rserv.See less00Anonymous

So, I will not repeat the previous opinion, but saw the possibilities and quality present, we can quickly obtain the desired sound. It complements very well the owner of a transistor amp, making the lamp effect of small preamp stage, as the possessor of a tube amp.
All brands of guitars, Epiphone, Gibson, Fender, BC Ritch, etc..
He catches heat and good fishing micro markets series!
I love his versatility, all effects have their charm, it sounds punchy in the ranges Vox AC or Metal, Rock, Cleans, always in short run, a box made to spend the ages Lol.
OVERALL OPINION
About 5 years and no problems, a tough case. Yes I have the Boss GT, a Pedal Board, Zoom, Digitech, Korg 3000 etc. ..
I have nothing against him except the USB though so far can be adapted by the South, but it was the top of the range at its output, the price was justified by its sounds and its apparent solidity is proven today, its two extra pedals in addition, what a great pedal!
I do not feel the need to replace it with new that does not bring much originality apart from the USB, if really required, I would.
Moreover, to date, there are so many good Softs both studio and live,
only spoiled for choice or the choice of embarrassment there (thank you Michael).

UTILIZATION
As with all multi-effects has amp simulation, effects of HP and, as soon as one switches to preset (programmed settings or a program), everything becomes complicated and time (this is my personal opinion). There are hours to go over to his choice of settings. 24 banks of 4 sounds that can switch two selections amp and HPs ... here is the world. On stage it's almost unusable as it is necessary to juggle the ball of your foot to reach the desired sound. In practice, we selected a handful that we put in the same bank. Pedal mode, it works like a real pedal board, we select the effects you want with her foot, and it works pretty well. The French manual, available on the net in case it is lost ... is well designed, clear and concise. Programming selections are made with micro switches low quality .. I changed several. Otherwise it is possible to program the Tonelab on his computer, and therefore need to use these switches. The selection of nimble or live effects, is done with metal switches that require an occasional dusting / lubrication. That means we can open the beast without worries.
SOUND QUALITY
For digital and at the time or the Tonelab SE came out, the sound quality is good. Of course, what is important above all is the quality of the material that is output. On a good console you get a good sound (you can believe connected to the amp simulation) ... console on a poor quality .. unfortunately no miracle. To be perfectly objective should be able to compare it with NOVA for example, but this is not the same price either. At VOX, for me it's the best multi-effects they have on the market.
OVERALL OPINION
I used it from 2008 to 2011. Purchased 250 secondhand, sold just under 200. It remains a very good deal.
Only downside to the table qualities of this product, a little cheap switches or age badly. Built for the stage, he did a good job, HIS job. It allows among others not to take the amp on stage and travel light so that does not allow the NOVA example (no amp simulation).
In secondhand and a first set eyes to buy (almost) closed.See less60arallu

Good reliability / correct: in 7 years of use I had 2 times the case of screw handlamps walking in the housing and the switch of presets that were beginning to tire (problem solved by adding a shim to improve contact) nothing dramatic ...
It's practical, sturdy and it works well. The format is a little "aircraft carrier" but we have everything on hand.
SOUND QUALITY
The different sounds clear / distortion have all offered a different color and everyone should find something.
after trying a few tube amps we must admit that this pedal, despite its "lamp" is fairly soft knee. I never managed to get as much momentum as the pedals of a tube amp. Do not expect miracles on that side.
Also I noticed that the pedals still ate a lot of his / dynamics. I live by plugging in my power amp (Peavey 50/50) I had a clear sound a bit flashy, even if the amp is very "simple" very right. With the pedal all between the two becomes "sanitized".
Malgés time spent on the beast I've always had great difficulty finding quality crunch tones. It may be just me but it remains an enigma ...
We can therefore have a clear (too) clean, nice distortion with a wide range and a host of effects is easily adjustable.
OVERALL OPINION
I used this machine for 7 years and it made me very good service.
To be honest I have not tried many multi-effects before you buy. I bought it on the advice of an informed person.
I do not regret this choice because it is very convenient and somehow it helped me determine my "sound", to know what effect I used most often etc.. It allowed me to make the transition to a pedalboard that has only what I need.
My opinion is that this pedal can make a transition period between learning effects, settings and one where it feels to move to more upscale products, corresponding to its sound. I see it as a kind of laboratory where each can determine / shape its overall musical identity.
Then with time and more meetings with the gear couillu we want to move on ...See less00MGR/Will Foster

I've sold it on ebay now. I'm a bit of a techno-junkie (and computer programmer), but never really had the time to work out how programme it properly - it was just a little too complex for what i wanted for a live gig - even though I had pre-programmed the channels beforehand (although for recording when I had more time to dial in the efects and play with it a bit more it was great). I never seemed to be able to get the best sounds on the unit and had problems in getting 'equal' volumes / levels when switching between pre-sets, especially when changing between clean and crunched sounds. When it was used in bi-pass mode it seemed to loose gain / brightness (even with the gain switch at the back set on max) and again, problems getting even levels between bi-pass and effects.
Fantastic - at a gig I accidentally dropped my Gibson on it - took a chunk out of the headstock of the guitar, only made a minor dink on the case - rock solid construction.
If you have the time, patience and ability, then this unit is well worth having - I take full responsibility for not generating the time to get the best out of the unit, but hey, i just decided I wanted something simpler.

As far as the effects....No one company makes the best of each type of effect. Find ones that sound good with the rig you play on. As far as the amp modeling pedal.....I only play tube amps and the concept of a modeling pedal is quirky at best. If you want a certain sound save up and buy the thing!! Why did I buy it??? Second each program allows you to save A and B amp selections, thus creating two different sounds with the same array of effects for each program. Also, being able to assign effect parameters to the expression pedals is a nice feature. Overall the sound quality is good, you can create some warm/natural sounds without sounding over processed.
I've spent alot of time trying to get a great sound out of my guitars and amps, and I often play directly to the amp, without coloring the sound. You can't by-pass this unit. Well, you can by-pass the effects, but I can't find a way to by-pass the pre-amp and cabinet simulators. You should be able to do this without buying an A/B switch. The other complaint I have is the tonal characteristics. The tone controls for the pre-amps seem weak to me, the cabinet selection is where I needed to go to develop the tone, also, the unit sounds a little dry, there's not much headroom, not like you'd have in a tube amp. (I know this has a tube, but it's basically a solid state processor). So depending on what you're looking for, it may or may not fit the bill.
The construction of the unit is excellent. It's easy to use and built to last.
The bottom line is, I like the unit, and you get alot of usable features for the price. I'm going to try work with it and decide weather or not to keep it.

If you are an amateur on this, then this unit might be kind of complicated for you. However, keep in mind that This ToneLab SE was designed for guitarists who know what they are doing. And on top of all that, I'll conclude saying that it is the only pedal board ever made that works with pure tube warmth. Match it with a hot rod fender amp, and you'll have the greatest sound of all. It is heavy, because it is huge, and its all steel. I think it will last forever. Awesome unit. If you can afford one, consider buying it. Only if you are a serious player though. It has 4 switch on which it affects what you want. Switch 2 to change banks, switch to the tuner and the effects loop, a control switch (to enable / disable an effect or tap tempo), and two expression pedals
Connectivity level, mono input, stereo output, Midi in / out, effect send / return.
One may regret the absence of a digital output.
UTILIZATION
Setup is super simple.
Can be assigned two distinct sounds of each pedal, just like an amplifier, a channel A and channel B. (For cons, the last edited channel that is assigned by default on the switch, which can be a bit confusing at first) What makes that total, 8 sounds on each bank accessible by foot.
To make his Son, we choose a patch (channel A or B), we seek a sound Triffouille buttons, and recorded by tapping twice on Write. If you want to copy a patch to another, is pressed once, we put on the target patch, and write on tamping. We can assign names to each patch.
We can assign an effect of each section on a patch.
The assignment of the expression pedals is simple, you press the button assignment, and choose the section on which it will be active. Same for the Control.
For example, if I want a pedal controls the height of the pitch, I choose a pitch in the modulation section, I slap on to affect EXP, EXP1 I choose and I chose Pitch Modulation. If this is the speed of a tremolo, it will speed modulation .. etc ... You can define 'thresholds' also, for example, if you want the pitch is not an octave below.
It can also trigger an effect by the control pedal, tap tempo or do. For example, if I want a delay is triggered, I choose a delay in the delay section, and on assignment, I put Delay On / Off
I have not found it as easy as corny.
I ordered my ToneLab SE in Germany, so I had a manual Allemand.j 'I sent an email to VOX asked me 48 euros for the record in French ... it hurts. But sincerely, without notice, in 2 hours, you do what you want the ToneLab. It's really super easy to use.
There are anyway Starter Guides on the website of VOX.
According to one amp or playing on table mix, change a setting in the menu GLOBAL: AP Amp and Line for Ln (table)
SOUND QUALITY
This is where it's the slap.
I have a VOX AC30, and I confess I am not out of place by the ToneLab, both simulations are realistic. Insincere it a hit. It has even more potential than real, because on each amp, there are two gain stages (gain VR and gain), so that you can have a very virile saturated with a simulation of AC30. The present section brings more shine to the additional
I play in a register rather pop / rock, and I'm satisfied. For metalheads, I'm not sure it is fairly saturated, whatever combination of pedals on the amps, it should be possible to reach a result not bad. It is clear that this is not an H & K WARP.
In any case, for distos rock not too fat and crunch biting, I have not found better. I have a Line6 DM4 in, it has nothing to do.
I play a Les Paul with P90, is connected to a mixing desk Yamaha MG12 / 4, or on a VOX AC30
The sounds I prefer: in effect, I find that there is no throwing, except maybe the filter and the talk in the mod section modulation ... I do not see what I can do, in fact ...
The Wha wha is really excellent, the autowha too. distos amp combined with the color really nice lead sound, although we must not abuse, failing to have the breath.
The amp models are really great. Each amp has a completely different color, and then what joy to be able to change the speaker on the fly. The tweed cartonnent, the VOX as well. Otherwise, it sounds great, but not knowing the real amps, I can not go too far on modeling
Modulations cartonnent, tremolo, rotary speaker on the phaser, the mod delay (to combine with another delay for a nice double delay).
I'm not a fan of chorus, but even if I do not use it, it looks to turn properly.
The delays are really great (the reverse delay is stunning .... ....)
The Noise Reductor is effective, but tends to eat a lot of sustain I think.
OVERALL OPINION
I use the ToneLab SE for a little over a week.
I was not connected mutlieffet (if you can call it a multi-effect), I like the roots, with the pedals around.
What I like most is not having to juggle between the pedals to change the sound, it's super convenient to switch from one amp to another, with or without the effect ... while pressing a single switch.
The sound is really great credibility (I do not have Mickey Mouse ears either), with a dynamic that I have found on any multi-effect that I tested (including the infamous BOSS GT6 ...).
As I said above, I'm not sure that the lamp does play a role, because when you turn on the multi, it turns on right away (not like on a real amp). There's a small LED behind that is there to give the color of the lamp heater. In my opinion, it is purely marketing.
Still regret (except the lack of digital output), I find that the deflection of expression pedals is quite limited compared to a real Wha Wha ... it's still super playable.
I tried a few models before you buy it, but it has no real competitor (maybe soon a line6?).
The value for money is nickel, since the effects are of quality. I paid a little more expensive than in Paris, at around 600 euros, but at least I .. gnarf!
I chilled this choice without hesitation. It's a safe bet when it does demand too distos bourrines .. Finally, it is my opinion.
Moir made some remarks on the many points that I forgot to mention, I will complete the notice accordingly.See less00Gawaine

it has a system of A / B box that allows you to change the amp simulator / HP on the same preset, so we keep the pedals and effects enabled but it changes the amp. 4 swicth to select the bank, which are also associated in a particular mode is activated / desactivaton sections of each effect (in order: pedal, modulation, delay, reverb), a control button to tap that ser tempo and also has other functions SPECIFICATIONS some effects. an FX on / off which as its name suggests can blow all the effects except the pedals and if it is supported a second tuner gives access to a good bill.
nice detail, it has a small effect loop that allows a insrer PDAL eg start of string (before the pedal simulation) used to practice or not an external pedals without having to enable or disables every 5 minutes I've got a branch distortion pedals of this fawn little or not I include in my preset and without ever touching it.
SOUND QUALITY
I ssay the Pod XT Pro for 1 hour, though I did not reach tripotter the rglages was anything special. I plustot jou in a register extreme (death metal in general) but also clean and bluesy crunch, I never managed to have its very realistic (I always test these devices to the headset, so less easy c) has arrived and the ToneLab, then it's a vamp, just the preset, which are not great for the most part already monstrously sounded better now that all the tampering that I could do on the Pod, and once part of the r tings, very simple in contrast to the pod, it really has the sound.
I would like to talk about the fameu valve reactor, so the lil loupiotte clear by an orange LED. it is associated with a command named VR gain is therefore acting on the gain of the famous lamp simulating the power amp. Well this little thing is bonement miraculous, it brings warmth and dynamic simulation it reproduces even on some simulation of the saturation power tubes with a certain realism very enjoyable to the ear
So we find with this system sounds very realistic end (even if I do not know if it really looks like the originals) as on vintage amp crunch or clean (through the simulation of AC30 is a turie) as large distos hi gain channel.
In terms of saturation, I read everywhere that they are not adapted to the metal. I believe those who say do not have much ca ssay the beast. personally I find my account WIDELY.
I m'explqiue, the most part of simulation hi gain are in fact not so hi gain that it alone, but it is enough to trigger one of many available on the overdrive gear and c hiroshima! Although little is rgl therefore have very good sound very saturated style suitable for all extremes.
I wish also prcis this machine does everything have potential as a good sound system or a keyboard amp, a guitar amp sound is very ALTR and is not optimal. less may be a plug it into a power amp and guitar to cut simulation HPs ....
The effects section is not bad at all, you just choose the same order of chaining effect section 3 after the preamp section (modulation, delay, reverb, therefore, in any order). in general they sound very well, even vintage for sure. some simulation pedals are very average, however, the fuzz sounds pretty bad example, or the pitch shifter if used in very extreme rglage and especially the fact that it is placed after the saturation. Similarly, the Octaver tends adcrocher the low E (in E and F are gnrale adcorcher trend but above ca arranged). The one in the other ca is very good and very usable, not gadgets at all!
basically it's the best simulator t given they like me to try, not k'on can not make very good thing, but with the Pod c TElement binz argler as a cd definitively not for me

Ease of use:
- For simulation models: as with an amp. You turn the knobs for gain, EQ and volume, fastoche.
- To the effect: the explicit use of buttons, too. Easy, even for a scratch.
- For simulations pedals: the same as for the effects. Soooo easy.
Even easier with the software, the rle of the buttons is carrment indicated depending on the type of effect is applied.
There is a choice in the routing effects.
We can insert an external pedal, and more simulations dj Submitted pedals (I think I'll put my little Rotosphere me that I love).
Two control pedals: has twice as many possibilities as other multi. One for volume and one for ... what you want! (Almost)
(Only problem: when I play standing up, if I use the two pedals of CONTRL simultanment, I break the figure and has a night and my concentration adcrdibilise my game for me Submitted scne the Star'Ac '5).
Use the top, so ... (Even I am confused is to say)

SOUND QUALITY
Sound quality: not too bad for the presets. As I do the guitar, I will not use the presets that 95% of cases! (Take me to the cabbage). The other 5% I will like everyone else, j'achterai another multi-effects with the sound I'm looking for!!
Seriously, good effects trs configurable. We must find happiness, whatever looks like his (ouiiiii, even metallics!).
I have not notice too much for simulations of pedals (stomp boxes I mean, I speak no sissy simulations, pffff) n'tant not a big consumer. If the bass distortion works well, I can say it has.

OVERALL OPINION
I use the machine for several months. The sound is good, look good, use not seem too complex, the weight is heavy, made strong (What? 6 kg?? OK then 6 kg)
I tried the same MODELS waters, but they seemed less suited my sound color (the blue, rock).
BOSS: BOSS's too typ. I do not know why, I do not like too Boss. But not come with a m'embter, I tell you that I do not know why.
LINE 6: cost a lot Pod XT Pro. Well, but the clean sounds and crunch seemed set back from the Vox. In addition, c'tait more.
DIGITECH: no, I'm really the FCH with them now.

UTILIZATION
The use of the machine is clearly easier. The manual provides a good approach, and everything is clearly explained, with tips, anecdotes etc.
You just need time to find these brands, then everything is done quickly. A small BMOL rglages on the initial position a parameter is only visible via 'origin' on the LCD, but hey it's normal since everything with knobs that RULES are not motoriss.
The edition is when even sounds super simple, I had a multi BOSS before and I find it more intuitive and really fast.
SOUND QUALITY
I wanted an amp simulator in order to work sounds, make me a little ear distos on the overdrive, lead sounds, rhythms and so on. I also wanted the effects of relatively good quality for use on stage.
The ToneLab is truly comprehensive.
In dpart I just deu t, I turned the knobs all over the place and I was not completely satisfied. It is imperative properly connected the ToneLab. I started using it on my amp and it was not terrible. By removing the cab of simulation ca becomes much more fun. It must be plugged into the PA and how to LN (line). I then try to plug it into my hi fi rotten, and the sound became much more fun. It really gets the momentum, the feeling in the sound, I'm really surprised. You have to work these rglages if we want a sound you love. It is not as complete a POD level effect, and Luckily! I have already struggling to manage everything, so I am concentrating on SETTING THE bases, and that's enough for it. Then I try on a good amp with speaker HIFI 200W 150W and serious ca dmnage serious! It's amazing, I could not believe it. Sounds clean, clear, hot, prcis, drooling, crystalline, it can really have it all. Some tell that distos are not very violent, well I know what they need. By mixing a pro co, the simulation Hi gain too much load gain is obtained already good sound of the chainsaw to good nag.
I confess I am rather rock / hard rock but that mtal ca dmnage not bad, its basically saturated.
Expression pedals are a good dbatement. Other parameters, nothing to say. The wha are interesting, you can configure a lot of parameters.
I use the ToneLab SE with a Gibson LP Studio, and the sound of the guitar sounds too saturated is really good respect for the numerator.
A large volume (very loud) you get a sound a little too sharp. You either have a equalizer out (but bcp of breath) have a neutral amp equalization. Ca hard and well as it should, you get the sound you want, low or high volume. But beware the rglages change much from one another.
For the home studio, it's nothing to say niquel, the simulation of cabs is interesting in re-cutting the eq for the future is quickly done well, and it sounds from hell!
OVERALL OPINION
I for a month, nothing to say it's solid, the bag is handy.
Most are its dynamics, the sound palette ranges, sounds cleans the fach of very good quality edition of the patch via MIDI and rel, these classic effects, but effective, the posibility to control for the live (A / B switch, button control, two expression pedals.
The only problem is the fact that you can not used more effects pedals section at the same time.
We must make choices. But we can add a pedal insert beginners chain, or use the effects loop for adding favorites effect.
The quality is exceptional price for me. We have a simulator and a pedal for live. Sounds are Nickel is one takes the time to rgler, or patches of Use of those who know rgler
EDIT APRS ten of me:
Well just as happy! Or even more.
It really is super convenient and the sound palette is really excellent. I redcouvre sounds all the time, and I gladly add more effects to enrich without altrer.
My LP sounds just as good, and a layer of good quality in it is a marvel.
And the only regret not being able to insrer a distortion pedals with a wah or a fuzz or Univibe etc. (in short all the pedals is not Dublic section), but with the A / B switch or by changing the patch (no latency) goes niquel ca.
If you try the ToneLab, ask a good sound system, turn up the volume, plug it a good scratch, a jcm 800 cab with the AD412, all the knobs of the amp except moit VR gain a background c bluffing, excellent, I can not get enough. Try also with the vox (well short with all the amps)
I would do without this choice problem!See less00bliss

Euuuuh what I forget ... yes cot nickel and wiring is a little more for MIDI and between the headset and the volume cot ... also aa look like much but life-changing headphone when you play then you try to log in directly on the PC ... you can easily change the output gain. Cot strength to say anything, it's tough ...
Here I think I go around, so in summary it with an amp simulator effects Intgr which is a large 10 trs.
UTILIZATION
Cot is highly intuitive user ... if you've had amps and analog effects you will use it 10s ... The pots can help you greatly ... you ring the device directly, but if you want to re-create the original sound of the amp must be simultaneously read the manual (very well done elsewhere and not boring to read too). They explain how they simul amp and rglages do to it sounds like the original (often it is just 5 rglages caution against it).
You also have four memory bank 24 ... o you can save every 2 amp (channel A and channel B) an expression pedals (if needed) modulation, delay and reverb .. . meaning that you have room ...
as I said above, you can rgler all parameters of amps and effects and assign them to an expression pedal to control direct ...
10 So also good but I suggest you read the manual at least once to better understand the jewel you have in your fingers ....
SOUND QUALITY
Euuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh ...
Nothing to say ... Try ...
I had the opportunity to play on a 1960 Vox AC30 and I simultaneously with the Vox tone lab, euuuuuuuuh no difference ... same same reactive heat is fabulous ...
a friend told me "did you finally stop to the hobs effect on your scratch" ... I'm surprised not to play with the simulation of the amp and cabinet ... why kill a great crunch of a VOX AC30 with a chorus?
The module is it same effect as trs impresionant that you ask for?
Like 10! ! ! with a little more for the beautiful grain of the amplifiers and the possibility of dispensing with real amps and miking Registration ... (try it nickel ...)
OVERALL OPINION
What about Global finally notice?
Uh VOX THANKS! ! !
If you still doubt try.
If in doubt between the POD or the vox then no longer doubt ...See less00noirstalons
