« Zoom 503 Amp Simulator »

Published on 09/12/04 at 15:00
bought from friend 75 euro
i dont have any other modeler till now so i wondering how it feels like

i had tried the VAmp and the line 6
and was not impressed at all.
vamp sounded awful in combo and didnt try in mixer line 6 - dont like the sound pluged in combo and very much like how sound in mixer.
as comes to ZOOM 503 - very very well in combos/i use two for stereo/
and not good in mixer
funy world
i use high end amps - but i dond have all possible sound
i am impressed with VOX simulation/very Beathles/
.Peavey/Van Halen - i twick by myself his sound- not preset/ and Fender are good too.Mesa passes
as overal - but u can come close to SAntana and Metallica as i would wish-just passable.
Marshall crunch almost good
Marshall gain for my pity only 60% of the real think/i have 2 marshalls now and had 5-6 in my life/
compared with 505 is better!

i dont like how it sound in mixer - hey Zoom make next time better speaker simulation!
as evry one will tell u - processor and simulators r away from the real thing - i like tube amps and preamps
even good solid state and hibrid combos.
but some time this zoom is inspiratinal for me - in case of VOX simulation - non of my five very good amps sounds close to VOX/i have 2 marshalla, fender, roland jazz chorus and aacraft/

well built .robust constrution
good work

it is fun thing to play - for insperation or maybe even record some /not all the parts in a song/
