This firmware update provides five new HD amps—bringing the total HD amp count to 30—as well as new performance options.
The v2.1 update features three new HD amps based on the clean, crunch and overdrive tones of the Soldano SLO100. Two custom-designed originals, Line 6 Doom and Line 6 Epic, round out the POD family’s selection of high-gain amps.
POD HD500 and POD HD Pro now integrate with StageSource loudspeakers. Musicians can recall StageSource Smart Speaker modes via POD HD presets.
Musicians can switch from a full-range acoustic sound for the verse of a song to a dialed-in 2 × 12” guitar cabinet for the chorus, with the press of a footswitch. They can also change to Keyboard mode for guitar synth soundscapes. Users can also connect multiple StageSource speakers via L6 LINK to facilitate wet/dry or wet/dry/wet setups, and more.
Users of POD HD500, POD HD Pro and POD HD can download the free v2.1 firmware update now.
