UTILIZATION

I had the impression that half the gain that I could find available on other pramplis rocktron or peavey (pirhana, RockMaster ...).

in spite of the lamp, the lack of heat and aggessivit for mtal, it feels especially dan treble, bass, emerging with a pretty tight grain ..
I have always used with its original lamp, the change to a tung ground or equivalent EI allow him to dvoiler probably a little more potential ... tested.
if this is the case, I back his note 8.
OVERALL OPINION
I sold to buy gainiac a piranha, and I found a Difference enjoyable trs (2 lamps, it helps).
gainiac the Marquesa is a small prampli to rock a little nerv in its original config, but n'sprer not find the distortion by plugging it into a combo.
saw its price in time, it allows all of the same test to be sold quickly and at worst the same price ...

I dterre my post to say that my gainiac made lme there are at least three years, one of the capacitors with DCID melting spontanment .. I possd almost all pramps the Rocktron and I've never seen anything like this before! But as I said, my Gainiac warming horribly, and I should have mfier ...
Note that I may be giving raises because testing various power amps, the gainiac gives a level of saturated enough to play mtal unlike what I had heard of the combo transistor ....
verdict for a major distortion typemtal modern, go your way, it is better to take a simple pedals (Uber mtal example) plutt this fragile and bulky rack for improvement ...
Its advantage is its versatility of sound of 70's hard to type AC / DC or type of heavy 80's, it does its job properly ^ ^
