Pedal boost / overdrive analog.
HAO is a japanese brand that I believe belongs to the firm maxon.
a knob of boost (which begins to saturate at 3 / 4 of its stroke) and a volume knob that allows you to pedal cruncher while adjusting the volume. (The base is a boost but it can be used as overdrive).
Piil powered by 9V power supply for standard type boss.
pedal very robust access to the battery under the pedal (4 screws)

Very easy to adjust, we adjust the boost based on rate of gain you want (or not) and then the volume ...
SOUND QUALITY
Then this pedal can dexu use.
connected directly between the guitar and amp, the pedal will soften and thicken the sound. for anyone who wants to pass a clear brigth has a softer sound and consistent is the ideal, or for anyone who wants to spend a lead edge has some of the sweetest thing too.
plugged into the effects loop pedal is completely transparent. and as the pedal has a gain control (boost) AC allows all the same to boost the gain of the amplifier even being placed in the effects loop (that 's how I used ) while remaining completely transparent.
I use a Telecaster and a Vox AC30CC2.
pedal generates a blast with the boost has pushed back if it is totally silent.
this is not a boost ultra powerful, it is meant to add some level or gain to your sound, but not compared to other boost, as the Super Hard On Zvex of which add a little gloss to sound) is less powerful.
OVERALL OPINION
I own it for a week.
what I like most is transparency AC (plugged into the effects loop.
I bought mine from OCCAZ 80euros and I'm very happy, nine it costs (in France) around 150euros is not cheap, but this boost is very good.
I who was looking for someone else entirely clear I am fully satisfied. the boost of the super hard it was very good for boost my clean sound, increase volume or booster pedals, but to boost my gain el vox ac side give a little synthetic sound, while the HAO is really perfect, c It is as if I turned the volume pot to gain my amp when I enclence.
