«  Really excellent. »

Best value: Excellent
Analog boost pedal.
An entry in an entry out, a plug for power 9 or 18 volts, switch on / off, a single volume knob / gain, and small switch on the inside (brightness and +3 db akin a boost for bass).

The tiny size of the box is a super good to include in a pedalboard already loaded.

UTILIZATION

General configuration and editing sounds is super simple: a switch, a knob. We may regret that the dip switches that are inside are difficult to access, personally, I found a setting that suits me and I did most affected (bass and bright it off).

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is just excellent. I plug it between the guitar and the input of the amp. I start from a fairly steady crunch kind Deep Purple, AC / DC and am using this pedal to swell the sound of the amp (a Laney LC30), making it more bite, warmer, fuller and music.

Used in conjunction with my BB preamp the same brand, so I have 4 sounds directly accessible: not too bad a crunch, the crunch of the amp and the ep booster (very Blackmore) the crunch amp and bb preamp, and finally the crunch and activated both pedals together, which gives a very Van Halen, but with a signal / noise ratio really acceptable, very hot, with a lot of gain but still clear and defined.

The possibilities are compounded if one considers in addition the clean channel of the amp. We then notice that this pedal really is not exactly a clean boost: it colors the sound in a gorgeous, actually improves: its absence is really felt, and just disable it to say that sorely lacking something. The cleans are really warm when they are superimposed on the booster.

I have not yet used an effects loop, but it must surely leads boost volume and body very effectively too.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months now, and I do not ever get separated.
I owned a mxr micro amp, a Boss Ge-7, a lot of overdrives and distos, but nothing beats this little magic box that never want to disable.

For fans of Blackmore who would be scared by the number of treble booster available, although this pedal does not either, they really work very well if the assistant british crunch on a kind vintage Vox or Marshall.

The price / quality ratio is excellent, and I would do this choice with great pleasure.
