MXR M134 Stereo Chorus VintagePublished on 05/26/09 at 09:21
The MXR Stereo Chorus Vintage is an analog guitar effects pedal that has a 1/4 inch input and two 1/4 inch outputs. It has a power supply connected to it and it isn't a rackable piece of gear as it is a stomp box.

    UTILIZATION

The configuration of the MXR Stereo Chorus Vintage pedal is really easy to figure out as it only has three different knobs that control various parameters. It has parameters for manual, width, and speed, which although seems like a small amount of parameters is really all this pedal needs in order to get a bunch of different sounds. Using this pedal couldn't be any easier than it already is and for this reason a manual isn't needed at all.

    SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the MXR Stereo Chorus Vintage guitar pedal is awesome all across the board. It is capable of getting a wide array of different chorus sounds and can even get some borderline vibrato type tones. I usually use this pedal with a Fender Strat and a 1976 Fender Twin Reverb amplifier and I'm always happy with the sounds I get, whether it be for recording or for live shows. The overall tone of the pedal is extremely thick and full sounding, while still maintaining that silky sound that you look for in a chorus pedal.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the MXR Stereo Chorus Vintage pedal for a few years and it has become one of my favorite chorus pedals because of its great sound quality and is versatility. You can really get a number of different awesome sounds even though it only has the three parameters. These are pretty hard to find these days and the price varies when you can find them for sale used. If you stumble across one of these for a decent price, I definitely would recommend scooping it up!
