Bidibuleable « Very good chorus »

Excellent
Analog Chorus pedal.
The aluminum frame (a very pretty blue) is very strong, but contrary to what we might think, it is not so heavy as that. The small problem is that the box is large enough, it takes a lot of space in a pedalboard. At the back of the pedal, there are 4 big rubber that hold firmly on the ground and avoid slippage.
We can supply the pedal with a 9V battery or a 9V DC power supply common (type Boss or Ibanez).
The switch is solid enough (do not hesitate to press hard on it) and the blue LED indicator is very classy for my taste.
There is one input and two outputs. Of these two outputs, one dedicated for use in Mono. Otherwise, you can still use the pedal in stereo and plug into two amps at the same time what is, for some, a big advantage (personally, I use it almost never).
When setting the parameters, they are classics. We find:
- A RATE control, which adjusts the modulation speed of the effect
- DEPTH potentiometer which adjusts the effect depth
- Potentiometer INTENSITY, which dose effect in the overall sound.
UTILIZATION
As mentioned above, the configuration is classic and simple, nothing complicated for someone who used a classical chorus.
The only problem is when you have never used a chorus pedal. In this case (which was mine at first), you can always refer to the manual on the Internet (in English). Because the chorus effect is rather abstract and complicated to describe, it is still difficult to understand the meaning of setting DEPTH example. Personally, I began to understand the value adjustments after a few days of use.
In conclusion, nothing complicated.
SOUND QUALITY
The rendering is very clean and you can use this pedal in virtually all styles of music. The sound is very warm and covers almost all major types of chorus: I use it mainly for its clear agreements but also for distorted sounds. Warning: not everyone likes the chorus not necessarily on its saturated. I therefore used settings rather "light", that is to say, I never pushes the INTENSITY control fully for example.
Note also that with the RATE setting thoroughly, you can get sounds pretty special, it can almost look like a slight tremolo.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this pedal for 7 months and now she is not ready to leave my pedalboard! I had the opportunity to test several other chorus, among others, the MXR Micro Chorus. He is also very simple and very effective, but it has only one potentiometer: RATE control. Because I like to play with the settings and depht INTENSITY, I opted for the Deep Blue, especially the Micro Chorus is difficult to find on the used market prices such as Deep Blue.
This pedal does not necessarily sound chorus upscale, but it has not the price either! So: excellent price / quality ratio.
Deep Blue is a pedal that gives a good approximation of the chorus effect. It has enough settings for easy access. Its housing is also very good resistance to solid impacted, especially during concerts.

- Simplicity settings

- Stereo output (for those who use it!)
- The look and the blue LED
