The Tonerider effects super lush chorus pedal was basically designed after the Japanese design of the 70s. It basically is intended to delivered at the most lush richest chorus tone that was available at the time. This new reissue or I should say new version of that old tone delivers a great classic chorus tone that captures many of the signature tones from such bands as Pink Floyd, Yes, The Police, and many other classic rock acts.

SOUND QUALITY

This pedal basically has two controls one for rate and one for depth. You're not going to be able to find a bad sound in this pedal because pretty much any setting that you put it on is going to sound fantastic. Pretty much any guitar player can find a decent setting with this because there's really only two knobs to choose from and if you've ever spent anytime with the boss chorus pedal or any other chorus pedal for that matter there usually isn't a whole lot of extra features, switches, or it buttons.

OVERALL OPINION

These pedals are pretty much located throughout Europe and can be harder to find in North America and Asian markets. However you can find them on eBay pretty easily. The usually range around $90 or so which is not a bad price for a great sounding chorus pedal. The pedal features true bypass switching and overall has a fantastic lush watery tone. I recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a inexpensive chorus pedal that will get them some great classic rock chorus tones.

UTILIZATION

SOUND QUALITY

Those who love the chorus though warm, gracious and not in the style mtalliques Police, Pink Floyd, Johnny Winter, Nirvana, Radiohead etc will be met. Sounds can be both discrete (we forget the chorus) that lgrement outrageous. So beautiful sounds easily exploitable. However when the pedals are AC, either alone or in SERIES: there is background noise (for analog). Prvoyez the noise gate if you play hard: Decimator thank you! On 9 V battery no problem: silent. One solution is to make the pedals silent: to an adapter whose output is 9.6 v like digitech.

Chorus pedal only analog. An input output. External power supply possible. The case is Mastoc, looks solid and inspires confidence. That one should be able to swing her shots during tatane for ages before it would complain.

UTILIZATION

Easy to use. Entrance, exit, two buttons: depth (intensity effect) and spleen (modulation speed). Include a shredder. Tell you whether it's simple to use!
The two knobs to zero, the effect is already present, quietly but positively present. Ideal for a slight effect.

SOUND QUALITY

his 80s. Perfect for arpeggios, stuff like Police, Pink Floyd, etc. ... We believe it. Exactly the kind of warm and soft that obtained with the now famous original Boss Chorus Ensemble. I know what I say, I used one for years. Except that the tonerider is much less bulky (less versatile too, it must be admitted). In short, a very distinctive sound, a very strong color, whatever the setting.
The operating range of settings, in fact, is quite wide, which can vary considerably the intensity and speed, and adapt to needs.

However, if we seek something more transparent (but certainly more "cold"), more versatile and precise in many settings, this is not the Tonerider that will do.

OVERALL OPINION

Regular use for a year and a half. Been no reliability problems. The trick is apparently as strong as it looks.
I confirm exactly what is said in the previous notice: this chorus generates a "buzz" a little embarrassing when you play softly. The buzz disappears if one uses a stack. I will try to 9.6 volt transformer as soon as I could, to see if it eliminates background noise.
Excellent value for money though (85 euros new). It's good stuff and it works well. Excellent sound
