Got it off musicians friend for 130ish, plus another 30 for power, cable and shipping. I wanted to start a pedal collection to replace my digitechs. Bought this as a start.

Amazing effects. In addition to standard delay [up to 2.6 seconds] its got a bunch of neato tricks up its sleeve. Reverse delay is amazing; plays your solo backwards! And a warp mode that lets you just build up a wall of noise as long as you keep your foot on the pedal. And my personal favorite: set for 80ms mode, longest delay time, most feedback, low volume and it creates this howl that you can manipulate with the time knob...I use that for a drone sound to riff over.

I originally thought that the reverse mode would just alter the dynamics of your playing to sound like it was going backwards. I would have liked that as an option. Also, a way to keep the delay going while playing something without being delayed would be cool. But without those features its still a great pedal and I really dont have anything to complain about.

One word: Boss. Need I say more?

Great pedal. May seem like alot of money to put down on one pedal, but I have no regrets about it.

I got this little puppy from Old Town Music in Portland, OR for $130 brand new.

If you're looking for some good delay, then this is the pedal for you!! It has delay up to 5.2 seconds as well has reverse delay (sounds just like hendrix), warp, which is a cool feedback-like feature, and also hold mode, which you can basically record 5 seconds of a chord progression and jam along to it. You can also tap the tempo of the delay to the song youre playing!

Batteries go pretty fast, but just get a power supply. Also the small fact that I personally might not use ALL of the features, but other than that, no complaints!

Well, its a Boss... otherwise known as a rock.

If you want to get into some mean delay, this is the pedal!

UTILIZATION

The grip is not very easy but once you understand how it works is going alone. Unlike what many people say the tap delay is not that difficult to use a single APRS is quite a bit of practice.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been one month maintenat I use is I regret it. I bought on a whim and I'm on bay trs content.Le new price is excessive but I find OCCAZ was worth.

OVERALL OPINION

Despite high prices, investment can be justified if you like "sculpt" the sound and adjust precisely to songs you'll play. The delay effect is modulated with a very high flexibility. It can be very discreet and simply add texture or sound producing clear sounds good "space".

This is a pure delay pedal. You can also get chorus and slap back echo out of this unit, among other sounds. I believe it is digital and cannot be edited via computer. It is a floor pedal, so it is not rackable. It has two stereo inputs as well as two stereo outputs, great for bi-amping !

UTILIZATION

There are four knobs: E. level, feedback, delay time and mode. I do not have a manual, because it's used. So if you don't know much about delay, like me, you can play with the pedal for a time and figure out some really cool delay effects on this thing. Switch the mode around, and you get several different effects within one pedal. E. Level is like your volume. Feedback is the amount of delay you get, and delay time is the duration of the delay. Pretty straightforward.

SOUND QUALITY

This is one of the best pedal delays in the business. Don't mess around with other delay stomp-boxes, this is the one to get. I put this pedal at the end of my pedal chain. I use the stereo output to bi-amp and the "ping-pong" effect that occurs at certain delay settings is really cool. Reminiscent of Pat Metheny on clean settings, Van Halen on distortion settings. I use 80 millisecond mode to add a little light delay to my solos. Gives it some nice "sustain", but not so much delay that notes start bleeding into each other. AT 300ms, you have a chorus type effect. Pair it with another chorus, and it sounds very lush and full! AT 800 ms, you've got a slap-back delay or echo, perfect for country or bluegrass music. At 2600 ms, you've got some wicked tape delay ! There's even a setting that makes your electric sound like a violin !

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using this pedal for a couple months more than a year. Once I figured how to get some cool sounds out of this unit, there really isn't anything I don't like about it. I especially like the stereo outputs for bi-amping. This was lent to me, so I didn't try anything else besides it. I would hazard to guess that unless I get an expensive rack-mountable delay unit, nothing compares to this amazing pedal. I wouldn't spend as much money as it costs to get this thing new. I would have to get it used. And if my friend didn't lend it to me, I probably would buy it, because I don't know what I'd do without it. The stereo capability alone makes it worth having and keeping.
