Not true-bypass

UTILIZATION

Using ultra simple. With the switch short, we can have a nice reverb.

SOUND QUALITY

I find the delay very nice, although adjustable, long enough for a pedal of this price range, very colorful and warm compared to Boss, for example, which are icy.

OVERALL OPINION

I would have given an excellent rating if the bypass does not puffed as much frequency, but unfortunately when the effect is off, the original sound of the guitar is no longer respected. I put still 7 / 10 because there are many other pedals in this price range that have this defect (ahhhh when we tasted the boutique pedals ...)

The DE-1 Dan Echo is a delay pedal from Danelectro. This delay uses a four knob and a toggle layout. Mix is used to set the volume of delay, Speed is used to set the amount of time between delays, Repeat sets the number of repeats after the initial signal, and Hi Cut allows the high end to be rolled of the frequencies of the repeat in order to simulate an analog delay/echo. The Hi and Lo toggle switches between short and long delay times. The pedal can be powered by a 9 volt battery, but is better powered by a 9 volt power supply.

UTILIZATION

This pedal has a solid metal casing and sturdy knobs (though they appear to be plastic), so it appears to be pretty durable. I’ve had no issues with reliability. This pedal works great at the end of your pedal chain before the front end of the amp, or even better in my opinion in the loop of the amp. The Hi Cut knob on this pedal is a great addition, all delay pedals should have that.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is pretty good for a digital delay. With the Hi Cut knob rolled down you are really able to get those old analog tape delay echos from older recordings. I wish all delays had this option. All together the tone of this pedal is very nice and warm sounding with natural sounding echoes and there is plenty of delay on tap to go from slap back to long and lush. This pedal has been pretty notorious for having a high end hiss develop but I have not experienced this myself.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall this is a pretty warm sounding digital delay. It does a good job at recreating natural sounding echoes and the hi cut knob is responsible for that. This is a larger Danelectro pedal and it has a substantial bypass switch and metal casing with some real weight to it, but stories of others developing the high end hiss overtime worried me into picking up something else. I’m happier with my DL-4 and Nova Repeater, but for a basic warm delay the Dan Echo may be worth checking out.

standard and large black dot: the quality of connections: either the jack or power connectors while a fix is ​​made of plastic directly on the circuit apparently not trsrsistant. UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, you just understand that the switch changes the action of the knob hard.

SOUND QUALITY

I have over 6 months, I like a lot to report quality-price, the sound it makes is plutt inspiring (although SR should not argue that the chos band but unless you use the delay on an entire directory, not worth the investment cot)
the only thing wrong with this pedals is the cheap quality TRS connectors and knobs.
if you buy used, and if a request vrifier going around 50 or 60 euros, well worth a visit for an occasional use of delay.

OVERALL OPINION

I had a few years ago a band Echo Dynacord: it is bulky, heavy, and not so simple to use. This n'tait not the "ultimate" band of cho but indniable Danecho the music is much more convenient and widely used.
I have a friend who also uses this on Danecho scne adcid since he no longer dplacer his Echoplex. His verdict: in concert, it's almost the same quality on the effects "basic".

In contrast, my collgues from below, I have no real complaints to the Danecho. It is true that out in supplmentaire DRY I miss. IDAL, it would even have an OUT Dry, plus another exit with only the effect.
But I think we are well served for 77 pedals.

The problem is that I deprecated the pedals too ... I had the problem of input and ouput .. Plastic ... grsillements of this cre ... unbearable ... especially for the record ... it's really shocking for not having chosen input / output better quality ... I have the rexpdier consquent by the seller.

The Danelectro Danecho is an analog delay guitar effects pedal.  It has both a 1/4 inch input and output and has a battery compartment for a 9 volt, and also has a jack for a 9 volt power supply.  It isn't a rack mountable piece of gear as it is a stomp box.


UTILIZATION

The Danelectro Danecho is a really simple pedal to use overall.  It has parameters for mix, speed, repeats, and hi cut and also has a switch to choose between lo or hi, which is a tone switch.  Even if you haven't had too much experience with delay pedals, this one is really easy to use and is more straightforward than most others out there.  I've never seen the manual for the Danelectro Danech, but it isn't necessary as the pedal can be figured out without it.


SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality heard from the Danelectro Danecho isn't outstanding, but it does do the job.  While I wouldn't use the pedal for recording, if you are looking for a cheap delay pedal to use for live shows, this will work fine.  I use the pedal usually with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb, so I have an accurate read on what the pedal sounds like.  Don't get me wrong, the pedal will work fine for most situations, but when it comes to recording I wouldn't use it because I have other options that I would rather use in terms of delay pedals that sound a whole lot better than this one.


OVERALL OPINION

While I don't use this pedal all that often, I do know people who like to use it a lot because it is cheap and they don't have to worry about breaking it.  Since I do most of my work in the studio, I don't use it too much because I have access to other delay pedals like the Line 6 DL-4 and a Moog Analog Delay that sound infinitely better than the Danelectro Danecho.  The best part about this pedal is that it is cheap, and this makes it a viable option for players on all budgets and playing levels.  However, I would really only recommend this pedal to beginners who are looking to mess around with delay sounds and get their feet wet, or for the player who wants a cheap pedal for shows that they don't have to worry about breaking.
