Soot_and_Stars « An excellent delay »
Published on 01/05/11 at 13:04Analog delay, 550 ms max. Pedal not so great for EHX (except the nano of course), 4 knobs (delay, depth, blend, feedback). Transformer supplied.
UTILIZATION
There is no simpler! The leaflet provided (in English) clearly explains the roles of each setting, and even offers a few configurations.
Then we put mumuse, delay, the depth to adjust the dose of tremolo / chorus that you include the same delay (the echoes changed anything), the blend that defines the dry / wet sound (from the original sound by relative to its amended) and the response and feedback intensity (handle with care).
SOUND QUALITY
I tested the headphones using a TonePort (convenient to the neighbors: D) and then on my Epiphone Valve Junior amp Tiot with a higher volume and there: yum!
The depth of sound is really incredible, it's hot it makes you want to play without stopping, then it's going to limit echo reverb like "room" (very short) to a maximum delay (550m) After you manage the intensity and the presence or embed tremolo or chorus on delay via the button depth.
I admit to use it very little on the other hand or very subtly, it remains fairly typical, so to use it with caution. Rather accessory for my game because I have not tested an expression pedal for the dedicated mode ...
I am waiting to try on my ENGL Screamer combo 50 in order to benefit more.
OVERALL OPINION
This is a little over a month since I, after peeling moults tests, listened to demos on the net and I'm not disappointed.
I own an Ibanez 7 (which is sick I see for repair), level made it day and night (EHX is warmer), I wish Boy This Memory has a longer delay but I quibble I quibble, there's no price level quality image, it's worth, EHX never disappointed me (I have a small clone and Holier grail).
So yes I would do without hesitation that choice, I have not tried everything on this model and I can not wait to experiment more the beast!
