It's a distortion pedal with three knobs, Level, Tone and Gain over a switch for two different distortion sounds. Plastic housing scary ... I do not care I took to hack my stuff while traveling. The jacks seem pretty cool, a little flat to the wall outlet located next to the input jack if the jack touches the transformer there may be cracking or false contacts.
On paper it's nickel for sound distortion at cheap.
Why did he choose pink for a distortion?
UTILIZATION
Simple as a normal pedal, you plug the buttons you turn thee from his ... I recommend to those who would use it on stage, they rarely support a disto lightly and I am afraid that the plastic does not take the blow.
I do not mock me is that, on a desk and I agree with your fingers, so no worries ...
SOUND QUALITY
Then it is a little gate. Fortunately it is a € 17 on thomann.
For me there is only one way to use it in ultra mode II, the Tone at noon, the gain almost to the bottom.
This pedal has no body, no power and very little gain, below 3 hours worth almost not worth it. Not bad for the studio in which to gain too much tends to blur the sound, then at least we're on that never fall into this extreme, but perhaps a bit unfortunate. With my Tone Zone it makes a profit "normal" but with my strat you need a boost or something to mount the volume history of the guitar to have the level otherwise it is very light ... the Genre solo pink floyd not more ... I wonder why it's called "ultra"
The way I was useless for me because it has no medium at all, as severe acute rather vague and too high and too aggressive ... it's almost the opposite of a guitar sound in fact.
Mode II found a few of the mediums that were missing in the first mode to be heard and to highlight the mix. The sound is quite dirty, not very accurate and always without mid-bass. Need to be careful to tone button, the frequency is quite male chosen because it quickly becomes very, very noisy, so I never move south.
I recommend to all that is going to look like metal, punk and neo different kind with a grain rather clean and tight. on the other hand for models in genres ranging closer to Led Zeppelin, Oasis and Muse why not, I repeat, for the model, not the studio, not even the demo.
OVERALL OPINION
Ho hum. Pretty disappointed, there are still several of his opportunity on this pedal, but after testing there is only one way to finally use it to obtain a very average, with little gain, with no body. Ca me fat just thinking about the distortion of some small transistor amp ... What it saturates.
We'll say this pedal do his job ... it is a sound distortion on your guitar sound, period. I prefer by far the distortion of my AVT100 to it, yet the AVT100 is far from being a good leader for distos ...
