6 knobs

Blow adds a distortion in the bass
Blow 2 adds distortion in the midrange
Blow 3 adds distortion in the treble
Volume
Tone
Gain

The pedal is very solid, the components are quality, ergonomics is good despite the 6 knobs: the production is very good.
Boss outlet format
Battery hatch accessible from the bottom of the pedal

UTILIZATION

In principle, we think that this pedal is simple to use, but in reality it is more complicated. Each of the knobs interact with others: what has resulted:
<ol>

to make the pedal harder to resolve

to make this ultra versatile pedal

to marvel every day falling on a sound that rings of fire god

SOUND QUALITY

Warning Warning: This pedal is very sensitive to the guitar. With a lot of bread boards (of cheap guitar with a Telecaster signature ESP) I have to redo the settings each time: not to find a sound but to adapt to the Fuse scratches. Effects in some settings sound pathetic when I pass a shovel to the next. The settings for the Telecaster are not suitable for the half cash (which is normal)
Noise level is swept every saturation: the metal fuzz, overdrive of the booster, and so on and the best! Extreme versatility. Must say that I play both the hard-core as trip hop, blues drooling ....
My boss overdrive / distortion is completely outdated as the sound level at the level versatility (a concept which has made it successful)

OVERALL OPINION

That's 6 months (purchased for Christmas 2007) I use and I must admit that I am very very happy. It is the only of my pedal board I use with all my guitars: I want to program!
€ 150 the price / quality ratio is unbeatable
I have yet tried the pedals: not far from ten in the same price range (Z-Vex included) but this one with which I left
A "must-have" as the Yanks say
Note: On my copy the plug to the power supply is the standard boss

Already said.
Blow the button 1 2 and 3 can put squarely at 0 frequencies for which they act or do a bit driver, then you can add gain with the Fuzz knob.
the blow with a blow to the bottom, blow 2-0 Blow3 noon and we have a really good fuzz sound which can become quite aggressive if you push the blow 3 (the treble) and adjusting to the pitch. Button Blow 3 acts subtly alters the acute and the grain (the ratio between odd and even harmonic?) On the second half of the race.
By not pushing too much blow1 (bass) we get some Brian May style sounds with great attack.
I think this is more than an overdrive distortion, it does not fit too heavy metal styles.

UTILIZATION

Two small caveats:

- Power minijack incompatible with PSU type boss (on mine which is 2002)
- The output level is good but not sufficient with micro ultra-powerful double as X2n of DiMarzio, results with this type of microphone sound effect with a less level than without, unsettling for overdrive. Therefore be considered first with singles, doubles or P90 output level reasonable. so it's not really a pedal metallers from beyond the grave.

There should be a programmable model in the manner of Tech21 TRI-AC, it would transform almost preamp.

SOUND QUALITY

A very versatile pedal, almost breathless, manufacturing quality impeccable.

OVERALL OPINION

Unfortunately I do not use it very often. I play most often with headphones on my POD2.
