«  A large disto ... even if you never liked the distos. »

Published on 06/04/12 at 06:01
Value For Money : Excellent
A switch to switch to medium gain (plus overdrive) to gain I guess along the lines of the vintage Rat.

Otherwise Level, Gain and Tone ... classic.

UTILIZATION

Manual? y'en one? Not even look. I ranted because there was no Jam Pedals sticker to stick on my flight case for pedalboard :)

SOUND QUALITY

Well I am one of the people who wanted to buy one of Walkeur. I found it amazing when I tried his, but I am most connected overdrive or fuzz altogether. I've never been a fan of the distortion pedal.

But here, the only word that comes is actually 'she sings. "It means everything and nothing but it is a delicious sensation that made me changed my mind. Then I let the time past.
And the opportunity to go to Guitar Village, on the other side of Paris, that I tried again this pedal. On a Fender amp kind Viblolux (the trick to incrunchable reasonable volume) with a Strat, a Les Paul Tokai (quite impressive the way) and of course a Duesenberg Starplayer TV, since this is my main guitar. The friend who came tried guitars and microphones configs does not return. He played, I moved the knobs ... its impossible to get a rotten. Everything was beautiful. I hurried to take before it cracks, as they only had one in stock.

Returned home, placed on the pedalboard. I turn my Fulldrive 2 Mosfet overdrive (I sell for that matter) and I'm testing. To saturate my sound I have: a compressor Celmo with its "correct" magic that I use as a fat boost, a clone of Big Muff Civil War, a Tech 21 Leeds with a drive set pretty high. And of course gain my Vox AC15C1. Fulltone finally I was no longer useful.
But the Rattler + brings not only his own (and then I put it on her own without the compressor / booster) but it can serve as an overdrive that sounds really pretty inlet of the Civil War (which has a gain less than the Most Big Muff).

Warning: it seems that the Rattler model + position "high gain" does not give quite the same results as the Rattler Classic. Personally, I find the "more" less aggressive. And it is precisely aggression that always made me afraid / shit in pure distos. More on the Rattler, I play almost exclusively with TONE set below noon, it gives a song full of beautiful harmonics and a certain sweetness significant.

As to whether it meets the guitars. I feel that this is not his first quality (but I blame that too with Marshall amps). It sounds so who cares.

OVERALL OPINION

Totally agree with Walkeur responsible for my purchase. One of my best pedals and more reconciled me with distos. Neither more nor less.
The biggest is that unless it makes you want to go test all Jam Pedals and it hurts the wallet.

I did not "need" this pedal (yes darling! One can have "need" of new equipment for the guitar. I assure you!). I play Classic Rock stuff is (and there for leads, it will be at the top) or more power-pop/post-punk/post-rock/garage stuff .. its brief with a new vintage or slightly crunchy downright fuzzy. The distortion, I had gone so far. It was just an absolute favorite this pedal.

Despite the new price, I will still say that the price / quality ratio is good. And it's a handmade (and even "hand painted") and should help Greece. Among aficionados as expensive Walkeur, Jam Pedals is a hard drug ... gaffe!
