Zoom PD-01 Power Drive

It's a pedal overdrive / distortion analog.
The case is metal and weighs his weight (at least two pedals boss). The construction and solid and neat.
4 knobs: Gain, Level, High and Low.
A status LED and a foot switch complete the package.
Can connect a transformer (type boss) or 9V battery power (under the trapdoor pedal that can be removed without
screwdriver).

UTILIZATION

Very easy to find the sound that one seeks.
You can use the pedal overdrive / distortion or booster (with the gain to zero).
The rugged construction suitable for the stage.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is excellent and provides more heat into overdrive mode. The knob Level allows for a level well
higher than the bypass. Equalization provides the ability to precisely adjust the tone. The sound is comparable to
other purpose as DOD250 MXR and more Polivalente with Equalization two pots.
This pedal does not play metal on a clean channel / crunch (in this case to turn to the TM-01 in the same
brand). However, a saturated channel, it still pretty hard and it's no background noise.
Bizarre that this is no more corny used because it can address the music of the blues to crunchy rock muscular.
The boost mode (gain at zero) really helps to have a substantial volume of reserves and can not get out of the mix
change the tone of the original sound if desired. So it is also used with a clear sound with a sound
saturated.

OVERALL OPINION

Frankly for the price (130 Euros) worth it. I tried it one hour in the store before leaving with.
Since it is on my pedalboard since ... 3 years! Wouha it goes!
Personally, I think she has her mouth and out of the ordinary. A real class.
I would do without this choice problem.

4 knobs, in case mtal trs solid power supply between a 'type 9V DC classic, a trap door under the pedals to 9V. Sounds tough, to inspire confidence in any case.

UTILIZATION

Everything is super intuitive, no need to book.

Level and zero-gain background: crunchy overdrive at max

I have not found the buttons super low and high efficient single knob might be sufficient for the pedals (one tone knob, for example)

SOUND QUALITY

In my memories, pdaliers zoom sounded cold and hyper mtallique and I went on a priori ngatif really. Frankly, I have AIM plutt sound is warm and the texture of the pedals is particularly enjoyable I t super surprised.
I tried many overdrive: plexitone (Carl Martin), TS-9 (Ibanez), OD-1 (Boss), Bad Monkey (Digitech), Distortion + (MXR) and so many others, but this p dale matches my registry prdilection: blues / rock 70's.

OVERALL OPINION

I think this is super versatile pedals in its register, for against the sound I like. It's crunch, has recalled immediately the brown sound is hot, it's rocky.
Brief occas 40 euros' worth a compar others are cold and are desperately short of grain. I do not know why it is not better known.
