Phase 45 of the vintage series in Mxr. Pedal should normally be made as to the old. 100% analog I like envi say mxr is doing.
Taking in out for the instrument jack, and a knob that adjusts the phase rate and pitch. A push button that triggers the effect or not. This is basic, but not need more I assure you.

UTILIZATION

As I said, it's simple, and highly effective. No need to book, no need for anything else. A good guitar, a good amp, and it's ready to ride.

SOUND QUALITY

The most interesting, the sound quality of the machine. I sold my stage 90 of the same brand to test this stage 45. Well, I'm not disappointed, far from it. The first thing that strikes you is the musicality of the effect, and that comes velvet caress the ears. The effect, and soft, warm, round, it envelops us all slowly. This is wow. There are in the mix, do not pass it, will not distort the sound of your amp / guitar and other effects. Frankly not the top. I did not test the Orange Tiny mad professor in which a priori is also quite amazing, but this little bomb in mxr is a sacred slaughter. When you push the knob to three quarts is obtained with a good fuzz and single coil sounds of hendrixien, psychedelic genre. the knob at the bottom, you can make sounds crossed, always respecting the basic sound and musicality of this madman. Really great.
I do not hate anything about this pedal, because it's the bomb, either with my strat or my Les Paul, this pedal meets with the musicality.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a little over a year, even I do not really know. This pedal is part of my pedalboard, and I do not know if she is going to leave one day. I tested the 90 phase of the same brand and phase in ph3 boss. The stage 45 dishes ko in the first round, a foot, eyes closed.
Used this pedal is in my opinion a new unbeatable value for money, in the view of the level of sound quality, it does too.

As the name suggests is the Phase 45 phaser, phaser whose quality lies in two words: discretion and musicality.
Analog technology recreates the famous 1975 model with components of very high quality, probably better than those used originally to regard the input jacks and output jacks, the switch startup.

SOUND QUALITY

Effects are stunning! If you find that the MXR Phase 90 is a bit intrusive, so that Phase 45 is for you. As I wrote above, what strikes immediately following the superlative quality of the effect itself-it is the distinction and the musicality of the phasing. And this on all the frequencies of the guitar. Strat LP and love it and I confess fairly pronounced low for use with the Les Paul Traditional: this duo sounds fantastic. The CSP105 also works wonders coupled with an Ovation with the legendary precision, and consistency of records, regales the class of the effect.

OVERALL OPINION

I own three phasing, in all of MXR: the Phase 90, Phase 90 and Phase 74 reissue 45 75. The three pedals sound superbly. Both offer a very clear Reissues most: stability never faulted the effect on all frequencies and with a consistency that I've never encountered elsewhere.
This pedal is a must.
And as for the problem of false abence making for external power, it is only a problem for the youth of today! 30 years ago, the pedals, the vast majority, could be powered by battery ...

's like I made the big, huge mistake sell his cousin, the DOD 201 of late 70's
I regret this deal a week later, and despite my Phaser XII B / K 4/8/12 floors TC Electronic 1982 and my phaser Ibanez BPL 6 / 10 floors of 1985 remains my favorite one.
this reissue is even greater because the old carbon resistors have become resistors 1% metal so low noise, the copy is exactly the color of the wiring near son!
Briefly: MANDATORY
the only missing: jack and LED power supply but it can report audio and AC can be fixed easily
