The Fender Custom Shop introduces the Blackguard Telecaster pickups for the fans of the very first Broadcaster tones.
The Fender Custom Shop Blackguard Telecaster pickups reproduce the sound of the pickups installed on the early 50’s Broadcaster electric guitars. These single coil models use Alnico magnets (Alnico 5 on the bridge model and 3 on the neck version) with 6 pole pieces and enamel-covered magnet wiring which, according to Fender, provides a warm and vintage-style sound.
DC resistance of the neck pickup is 7 kOhms and 7.4 kOhms for the bridge model. The pickups are available directly at www.fender.com for $159.99. They ship with a wiring diagram, mounting screws and pickup height adjustment tubing and carry a one-year warranty.
