Eminence has announced the Hempdog 12, a 12" signature speaker elaborated with producer and guitarist Pete Anderson.
According to Eminence, the 8Ω, 12" HempDog 12 model offers a more neutral voicing with clarity and full, round lows, but with the added warmth only a hemp cone can provide. Housed on a rugged cast aluminum chassis, the 80 oz. ceramic magnet and 2.5” edgewound voice coil are said to provide higher efficiency and 150 watts of power. Anthony Lucas, Design Engineer at Eminence, explains that this model results from Pete Anderson’s explicit interest in an Eminence speaker that would provide him with both the Cannabis Rex's warmth and the Legend EM12's neutral and clear tone.
Technical specs include:
- Nominal Basket Diameter: 12"/305 mm
- Nominal Impedance: 8 Ω
- Power Rating: 150 W
- Resonance: 69 Hz
- Usable Frequency Range: 80 Hz-3.8 kHz
- Sensitivity: 102.3 dB
- Magnet Weight: 80 oz./2.27kg
- Gap Height: 0.37"/9.5 mm
