PolyTune won in the ‘Ancillary Equipment’ category, and System 6000 MKII was voted the winner of the ‘Signal Processing Technology/Hardware’ category.
PolyTune is described as “the first tuner in the world to offer polyphonic tuning which means that guitarists and bassists can tune up extremely fast by simply strumming all strings simultaneously, letting them get back to playing in no time, ” according to TC Electronics. System 6000 MKII is the successor to the original System 6000 for audio production and mastering.
The TEC awards – or the Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards – are designed to “recognize the achievements of audio professionals, ” and the annual event is hosted by the TEC Foundation. The TEC Award nominations are made by a panel of industry professionals, and the winners are chosen by members of various professional organizations and audio industry websites who vote on the candidates.
