A much better improvement over the Boss AW-2. This one has a tap tempo feature which enables to keep a good rhythmic pattern to how the wah react to your playing. keeping in time was a big determent from the Boss Aw-2. That pedal had a big defect in its R&D that made it o out of wah when you didn't want it to. Now this pedal is able to keep in tempo with your playing or the songs beats per minute.

SOUND QUALITY
The tone of this one isn't really different. Boss simply went back to the drawing board and redesigned the original auto wah 1 and the Boss Aw-2. The tone of this pedal isn't as important as the sweep of the pedal. The sweep is what makes a quality wah sound. There is not much tone if any in this type of unit.
This unit works with all guitars and all amps. Just slick in front of you amp and click it on to keep a nice auto swell from one octave to the other. You get get a cool sound with this pedal in the right situation.
OVERALL OPINION
At new these units come in at around $119, which is a good price for a cool effects unit like this. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good auto wah and doesn't want to spend to much money. They are pretty cheap and do the job that it was intended to do.
