Years after the original Crybaby Q-Zone was discontinued, MXR presents the KFKQZ1 Kerry King Signature Q-Zone, a new evolution of the well-known auto-wah stompbox.
Slayer lead guitarist Kerry King has been known to use the original Q-Zone in order to get his sound cut through the band’s thick tone, so it should come as no surprise that he was eventually involved in the making of this new version. Sporting a unique KFK tattoo graphic, the limited edition KFKQZ1 features all of the original’s tried and true controls intact as the Volume (up to +18dB), Q-Zone (frequency breadth), and Peak (frequency center) knobs are here to allow you sculpting your lead tone. The Q-Zone’s weighted, “stay-put” knobs keep your settings stable, while its heavy-duty casing, jacks, and pots look more than reliable.
